when will the spitting up end?

Just curious when this spitting up will end. My twins are 6 months old. They had acid reflux when they were younger, and were on zantac until about 4 months old. They are not uncomfortable when they eat at all. They eat between 5-8 oz at at time every 2 -3.5 hours. They spit up practically every time they eat still. When will this stop?

 

Hard to say it varies so much from baby to baby. For mine it got much better around 8 months but some say around a year too. Hang in there. Reflux is awful!

 

One of my DDs spit up until a year. The pedi said that once they are upright more, gravity helps keep stuff down. It was a LONG year. :hug:

 

One of mines spits up alot too. I find that when I puree the foods a little thinker, he does not spit up as much even when he has his bottle later.

 

Unfortunately it seems to get a little worse when they start crawling. i'm hoping it will end soon too. I'm thinking when they start to walk it will help a lot.

 

Ha! I think I asked the same question when my boys were little! I am here to say it does get better! I remember thinking I thought it would stop when they started solids. Didn't stop-just got a bit more colorful! But it does stop...I would say once they were sitting really well and crawling...We were in Italy when they were 9 months old, so I would say then because we didn't have an excessive amount of burp cloths wherever we went.

It's soooo nice when it finally does stop! Hang in there!

 

Evan was a big spitter uper... and was on Zantac. He stopped spitting up so much after 6 months when I introduced solids. I still give him half a dose in the evening.
