One of my twins has been running a fever since yesterday morning. It hasn't broke but we did find that he is getting his second bottom tooth. I figured that is the cause of the fever and will break when it pops through. However, my second twin is now running a fever and I don't see anything but he won't stop crying. He doesn't want to eat or sleep all he wants to do is cry. I don't know what to do or how to help him. I did find a rash on his bottom and I put stuff on it but I don't know if that could cause the fever.

I just don't know when the crying will stop!

Did you call your pedi? Are you giving tylenol? Is that lowering the fever? The other thing I do when the girls have fevers is put a cool damp wash cloth on their heads. I hate feeling so helpless when the girls are sick and crying and I don't know what to do to make it better. :hug99:

:hug99: Is the tylenol helping?? If not, maybe a call to the ped. is in order. Just to give you peace of mind. He may be getting teeth in but have different symptoms then his brother. My dd doesn't get fevers when she's getting a tooth, but does get a rash and is very irritable. I hope it is a tooth and it comes out soon. Hang in there momma. :hug99:

:hug99: I have no advice, just sympathy. My girls got their immunizations on Monday and ran a fever for two days. They were very whiny and I couldn't seem to do anything to make them happy. I feel for you.

Chase, the one getting the tooth, woke up from his nap and his fever broke. YAH but he is still stuffy which i can deal with that. Spencer finally calmed down but I am just hoping his fever will brake. I have been giving them tylenol but that hadn't worked until now with Chase. I called my sister who works in a pedi's office and she said just wait 24-48 ours before calling. If Spencer doesn't get better by tomorrow I will definatly call.

Thanks Ladies. It does suck feeling helpless.

Just FYI ... her babies are 4 months ... I don't think they should have Motrin until 6 months ... but correct me if I am wrong! I was counting down to 6 months so mine could have it! Tylenol just doesn't do a thing for us!!!

I am glad the fever broke. Teething is awful. :( If you alternate between Ibuprofen and Tylenol remember not to give Ibuprofen more than every 6 hours. :hug99:

Yes you can't give motrin until they are 6 months old.
