When will I get my house back?

I always wonder if we are the only ones who has to put so much stuff up or fix it so it can't be moved. Kitchen table chairs are strapped to the table. The boys push them around to climb to the counters or they climb on the table. All knows off the stove and all the drawers in the kitchen. High chairs are in our room b/c they push them where they want them, climb up and stand on the trays to get to whatever. Handles on my computer desk have been removed b/c they use them to get on my desk. Computer chair has to be in my room when not in use b/c they use that to get on my desk or push to other areas to climb. Had to put their rocking horse and kitchen away b/c they also use those to climb to whatever. Seems each day we have to put away one more thing or figure out something else to avoid the climbing.

I want my house back LOL

Oops. Sorry!! Sure...ummm...yeah...once they are TWO it's like a whole new world! They listen, they don't whine, they don't fight, they don't throw tantrums, they pick up after themselves, they don't feel the need to climb on EVERYTHING!! Things will be so peaceful and calm, you won't know what to do with yourself! AND you will get your house Back!! :D

    Is that better?? :blbl:

LOL! I want my house back too. Heck, I just want a house right now. That would be a step in the right direction.

We moved three months ago and didn't even bother putting any kind of furniture in the living area. All we have is a table without chairs, a couch, a computer desk with a locked door (they can still get at the keyboard unfortunately), and a bookshelf that is attached to the wall and only has things on the top two shelves.

And the rest of the place is a huge mess, because that's where we have to store all the stuff we don't want them to get into.

So yeah... I hear you. We're trying to buy a new house and we'll probably have to store most of the stuff in the basement or garage for a while when we do! The good thing I guess is that in 2 years at least we should be able to get our stuff back, even if it will still be a toy mess...

It's sad when you actually look forward to the day you can put lamps back on your end tables. :woohoo:

A few months ago I had enough with their toys being on every level of the house so I took back the first floor. :blbl: Sure everything is baby proofed but at least I'm not stepping over their toys everywhere I go.

Oh toys...I guess that mess isn't going to go away for some time.

Dianna, I wish I knew. I want my house back and I am beginning to think it's not going to happen until they move out or put me in a home, whichever comes first. We had to move our furniture around in the living room in an attempt to minimize the climbing.

I would like to actually have a house first. ;-)

But I can relate to having to rearrange the furniture and decorations based upon safety of my boys' as opposed to what actually looks good and what the furniture is really used for (and to make the home more visitor-friendly...anyone who visits gets all bug-eyed at our "organized disarray").

Also I am tired of doing hurdle-jumps over all the barriers and barricades, I'm too short for all of them so I feel like it's dislocating my pelvis every time I try to climb over them 32472834092834023 times a day and night.
