When were your LOs on finger foods?

When did your LOs start finger foods? What about table foods?

When did you stop doing purees? Did you do a combo of finger foods, table foods, and purees for a period of time?

I'm wondering how much longer I'm going to be in the baby food making business!

We started finger foods by around 8 months, starting with Puffs & Cheerios, then moving quickly on to fruits & veggies, etc. I tried to do a combo of puree then finger food for awhile, but I found that once they learned they could feed themselves easily, our days of me feeding them were over, they just had no interest. They were on nothing but finger food probably by around 9.5 months (I did try to still do cereal for breakfast & was fairly successful with that if I mixed in the fruit) and completely on table food by 11 months.

The last month they have really got the hang of eating fruit and veg, it's a messy business!! I'm kind of stuck with what else to offer? i'm so scared of them choking it's not even funny!!

We didn't start puffs and such until 9 months then they were on mostly table food at a year. Jake had a hard time with his gag reflex so I took things really slow. Even now (2 in 2 weeks), if Jake won't eat a good meal, I'll give him a container of fruit/veggie Stage 2 baby food. He'll still eat stage 3 now and then too. He eats so little that I'm just happy he's eating something! I think it greatly varies on your child, but I was making purees until about 11 months then started just buying a few to keep as just in casers.

We started finger foods around 7 months and table food at about 9 months. I did a combination of purees and finger foods (table food) until just about 13 months when I figured they were self feeding well enough to do their own meal without purees being crammed at them between their bites of food.

I started offering the girls finger foods at 9 months old but they didn't like textures! We had an issue with textures until after their first birthday. The first "real food" we got them to eat was Kraft Mac N Cheese.

We didn't start any finger foods (puffs) until they were 9 months old. We slowly added things here and there. They eat some table food now, but definitely still feeding them purees. They are much more interested in feeding themselves though, so I'm stuggling with the purees now.

We started with Puffs around 7 months.

    Around 8 months, I think.

About 9-11months, I think I was just sneaking in bites here and there.

    Yes.
