I know I have always had gender determined at 20 weeks cause that is the "best" time to see. I am having an ultrasound on Thursday and will be 13 weeks. Are the parts developed enough to take a guess or should I not even bother asking them to look?

My tech guessed at 14 weeks and told me both girls so Great Grandma made blankets for them and at 19 weeks the told me boy and girl and we are now 100% boy and girl, I'm not sure I would trust it or run out any start buying but it's fun to have an idea.

13 weeks is a bit early. I believe they usually start looking after 16 weeks, but I don't think that is totally accurate either. You could look for fun, but I wouldn't count on the results. Good luck.

I was told at 13w that they thought Baby B was a boy because he looked a little thick between the legs. We didn't put too much stock in it at that point. They were right! I found out at 17w3d that A was a girl and B a boy.

At 14 weeks we got a B/? guess...and at 16 weeks confirmed G/G. I was a little nervous after we picked out all flowery bedding, but it was G/G after all!!

They most likely will not guess but you never know...I would not BUY anything for awhile if they do!

We saw our boys parts at 16 weeks a friend of mine was told at 13 weeks she was having a boy only to find out at the 20 week anatomy scan it was a girl. I think at 13 weeks it's a toss up as to whether it is what it is. I believe what I read is that in the beginning it is a sort of nub and either stays out (boy) or goes in (girl) and I don't think they can be definate or for sure at 13 weeks...

I was told B/? at my 13 week nuchal scan. At level 2 u/s and all subsequent u/s, it is clear I am having two girls. So, I wouldn't put stock in early gender assessments.

My OB wouldn't even put in a guess. I found out at 13 wks I was having twins, and looking at hte u/s pics, I dont know how on earth they could determine that with much accuracy. Still, any u/s is a fun one, so enjoy seeing your babies!
