My twins just turned 9 months. They still enjoy some time in their exersaucers a couple times a day. Question-when is the norm for kids to be too big or too old for these? When they can crawl out of them? When they don't have fun in them anymore? Thanks for the info!

I got rid of them when my two lost interest in them, around 12 months. My kids are shorties though, so they were still in no danger of falling or crawling out.

My daughter was done with hers by 8-9 months because she was walking at 9mos. I am hoping the twins will use it a tad longer. We shall see!

At 10 1/2 months we are still using it and the Jumperoo. They like to sit in them and listen to the tv or chew toys or eat puffs. Hopefully it will last a little bit longer because its the only thing other than our superyard to keep them contained in :)

My boys are 10 months and really don't care for them too much anymore (unless they are eating O's off the tray, they'd sit anywhere for food). However I still really like the saucers because it's the only place I can put the boys when we are outside where they won't crawl into the mud or try to eat the ants.

I do think our time in them is coming to an end, though, since the boys are really tall and Alex looks like he could climb out.

I think next week we will be done. Orion cries every time I stick him in it. Of course, I use it as a safe place to stick him when he's doing what he shouldn't be. I'm going to re-sell them and put up a PNP in their place for baby time outs.

We quit ours around 12 months when they were more interested in edging along the couch than staying still. I miss those jumperoo days though... man, it was so great to find them in teh same place you left them!

Once Annabella could move-she was all done with the exersaucer! Nine months for her, a bit longer for the boys. I had the exersaucer that was three in one, so it came apart, and they could stand at it and play with it that way. With three kids-I just figured give it away, then to go and have another toy the three of them would just fight over!

I think the general rule is to stop using them when they can walk but if they lose interest in them before that then I guess that's it! Ours are 10 months old and still love them. One of my girls is cruising and more mobile than the other but still enjoys her exersaucer time. So just watch their cues as to when to stop using them.
