Hello- I am 31 weeks pregnant with twin girls. I have been feeling bad these past few days. I have been having a lot of BH contractions. My back has been killing me worse than ever. To make things more uncomfortable...I have not felt Baby B all day. Baby A, however is moving along as usual. I have tried playing with my tummy to stimulate some movement with Baby B and so far no such luck.

I realize there is little room for movement...but I am concerned nonetheless.

How do you know when to call the doctor?

Did you try drinking orange juice and laying on your side? That always woke up my little one's and got them bouncing around. I had to be careful though, too much OJ meant massive heartburn for me...

If you are concerned then call the Dr. I would probably call them and tell them what you told us. They may want to see you, and they may not. But, they are there for you to call. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Like pp said lay on your left side and drink something cold and sweet, that will normally get them moving.

    Keep us updated!

As others have said, it never hurts to call your Dr if you are concerned. That said, sometimes I dont feel baby B all day, and when her brother stops moving finally, she has a turn. Have you sat and counted kicks? Do you know what position they are in? Sometimes they have moved (like in the night) and start kicking inwards and obviously I cant feel it. Maybe drink something REALLY cold. That always gets my little cherubs going. :)

I am 31 weeks 6 days, and had this same problem and called the doctor yesterday to have him check and all was well, just not much space!! Call your doctor of you'd like, I did and with the weekend coming up, I feel much better... someone also suggested holding a cold bottle on your tummy cause they wont like it and will get a movin..

I think you should call (or should have). Grape juice will give them a kick start (punny!) I could never really tell which one was kicking me where, so it's possible that you are feeling her, but they've moved a bit and one arm or leg is getting you where you thought baby A was. Cannot hurt to to a NST or quick ultrasound!

I had the same thing with my pregnancy of my son, I went all day stressing myself out the next day I called the Dr, he sent me to l/d… long check in, I lay on my back, the nurse was about to put the monitor on my belly… and he started to move sooo much my husband saw it visually for the first time… the nurse was like… well your hear lets just check everything before you go… I felt silly right then but you know what… I REALLY like the feeling of relief also… plus I slept better that night…

I would call the doctor just to have everything checked out. I hope all is well!

I have the same concern about Baby A a lot. He just hasn’t seemed as active as his sister the whole time I have been able to feel them, but I think partial it is just harder to tell when you have two. I do think you should call you Dr. and check though. IT always makes you feel better when you can see or hear them both.

Thanks so much ladies for your advice. Just as I was about to call, I started getting some movement. Around midnight, my husband and I played around with my tummy and got both babies going. It was such a relief!

    Thanks again!

BTW, Next time I definitely wont wait as long to call!
