I know my guys are not even close to being potty trained but Seamus sometimes knows when he is going in this diaper so I just thought of this question...

Is a potty chair necessary or did you train on the regular toilet?

Every child is different. Gabe learned on a potty chair, but within a month was using the regular toilet at home and every store we went in.

You can do both. I always started mine off on one and but they would move to the toilet by the time they are totally trained. It was easier than emptying the pot, kwim?

I had to get a potty chair (2 of them!!!) because the big potty was too daunting for them! Now they can sit on the big potty sans ring and do fine (holding on) but before they would have fallen in!!

    Good luck!

My DD was just under 2 when she started to train and was not even close to being big enough to use a big potty. BUT all my boys climbed right up and used the big toliet. They faced backwards for better balance because they could hold on to the back if needed. I was so glad they used the big potty. Less mess for me!
