Karina has had a white spot on her lower gum for a couple of days. Today I can see it AND feel a tooth. When do I say she got her first tooth? When it is all the way in? Now that I can feel it as well as see it?

For me, once I could see the whole tooth coming through I would write it down.

I wrote it the day I felt it. I knew it was close to breaking through, so I kept checking every day until I felt the sharp little edge. That was DS and then DD had her first break through 4 days later.

It sounds like you can count the tooth now, if you want :).

The second I felt a jagged edge poke through is when I wrote it down. YAY for toofies!! :clapping:

As soon as it poked through, it counted.

My mil does the "clink" test--if you can put a metal spoon in their mouth and hear it clink, it's through.

(But I never write anything in a baby book.)

I recorded the day I felt it. So for you that would be today. For my girls I did morning tooth checks so I know the exact days their first lil toofies popped thru (to record in the baby books).

    BTW, Yeah Karina!!!!
