As in when someone comes over or we go into daycare they bounce off the walls to the point it's almost guaranteed someone will get hurt!
They are actually pretty shy but when it's something they are familiar with they lose control!
    How long?!?! Help!!

Really depends on your kids. I've never had that problem... mine hide behind us for a while when we have people over.

    HAHA!!!

At just shy of age 7, mine are still crazy when they first meet up for a playdate or arrive at a fun new destination! That said, they settle down quickly once the 'HI!!! I'm HERE WANT TO PLAY!" bit wears off.

I think it depends on the personality to be honest, as they get older they learn to socially moderate their reactions a bit.

Mine are 5 1/2 and are still over the top excited when we do things like that. I dropped them off at latchkey this morning before school and you would have thought they hadn't seen their friends in 3 months. Somedays they are calmer than others, but typically very excited by stuff like that.
