When do you move the straps in the infant seat?

How did you know when it was time to move the shoulder straps from the low setting to the high setting in the infant seat? My girls are about 24" long now. Is there a height recommendation for moving them?

Gosh, I don't know if there is height recommedation. I just moved the straps last week (mine are almost 4 mo.old) because the straps were too tight around the shoulders and they were very uncomfortable to the point when I strapped them in they would cry. Now they don't mind being strapped in.

The straps should be level or a little lower than the babies' shoulders. They should not be coming from higher than their shoulders. I have moved the straps up in our infant seat for Evan already.

This is EXACTLY what I was going to say. If the straps are below below their shoulders move them up as long as it won't then be above their shoulders. Don't that make sense?!

I'd put them on the higher setting. I just kind of noticed that mine seemed too low on the shoulder strap - it was a lot better when we moved it. We waited way too long on DD.

Straps in a rear facing seat should be at or below shoulder level... Basically if you have 3 slots put them at the highest setting you can and still be at or below shoulder level... Not even slightly above the shoulders.

Our girls are about 24 1/2" and we moved their straps up recently. They seem a lot more comfortable.
