My babies took a 3 hour nap this morning instead of 2. I am wondering how soon I can switch to 2 naps that will be 2-3 hours. When did you move?

It varies a lot - just watch your babies and follow their cues. Mine still need 3 naps a day, sometimes even 4! I know that's unusual for their age, but they really can't live without those naps. Yours might be ready for only 2 naps early or late... They'll let you know. ;)

I agree with pp, it does vary a lot. Mine are only now transitioning from 3 to 2 and only some days. I just follow their cues.

Mine moved to 2 naps between 6 and 7 months. At 10.5 months they do two good 1.5 hour naps a day.

My twins went to two naps (between 1.5 - 2 hours each nap) just after 6 months.

We went to 2 around 6 months. All babies are different though! Just watch their signs!

Mine are 6 mos. and 3 weeks and NEED three naps but are crying their way through the third catnap about 8 out of 10 times consistently. I wish they would listen to me when I tell them that the third nap is "for their own good" :) :) :)

Went to 2 naps around 5-6 mos. My girls now take a good morning nap - 2 hours. and sometimes the afternoon nap will last that long - other days its 30 minutes. Like everyone else says - follow thier cues. They'll "tell" you if they need another nap. My girls bedtime is 6:30 - and they are rubbing their eyes etc. - I KNOW they are tired. they go down without a peep. (just knocked on wood)
