My boys will be 2.5 when baby #3 arrives. I am wondering if I should buy a triplet stroller? Or should I just get the stand up attachment for the back of my DuoGlider?? I also have a SBS and a jogger - I guess I won't be able to use those anymore unless I carry the baby...

So, do I get the triplet stroller or just wait and see what happens?? I figure they will not want to be in the stroller much longer than 3 yrs - plus the grocery store has daycare for anyone older than 3!!!!

I don't know if you will need the triple or not. My girls were 17 months when the new baby arrived so I had to have the triple.
I bought a used triple stroller on craigslist.

    CONGRATS on the pregnancy.

Erin, did you announce that you were pregnant or did I totally miss it??

I don't have advice on the stroller but just wanted to let you know that I am SOOOO excited for you!!! Congratulations!!!

Mine will also be 2.5 when the baby is born. I rarely use the stroller anymore other than the mall, target, etc. They sit in the double cart at the grocery store. My plan is to continue to use the double and put the baby in a baby bjorn for a while or shop while the "big kids" are at preschool. I'm definitely not buying a triple! By the time the baby is old enough to be out of the bjorn I think one of the older kids should be able to walk next to the stroller for short periods. HTH [IMG]

I just have to say....Sue and Erin...your kiddoes are the same age as mine and Sue has a 3rd already and Erin has #3 on the way. Dang, I must be behind in the times!!! Hehehe!!! You ladies are awesome!!! I wish I could convince DH to try for #3...I wish the end of the summer would come sooner [IMG]

I am also expecting my third (just found out) and I am also thinking about that. My boys dont tolerate strollers enough now. We went to Dosney world and they struggled part of the time in them. I am convinced I will need help if I do decide to travel, but will hold out on the triple stroller until i have all the info. I think our best friend for a bit though will be the baby carriers. It's such a life style and child personality thing. My girls are 28 months and we rarely use a stroller. I think you could do without the triplet stroller, but they time the baby is too big for a sling, the twins can trade off walking. I guess it also depends on how often you are going to go out alone with all three of them, and what sort of things you will be doing.

My boys were 3 in December and it wasn't until recently that I've not used my stroller as much. I still use it A LOT.....

However I have a friend whose twin girls were 16 months old when her 3rd was born and she refuses to buy a triple stroller.....she doesn't get out much, though.

    congrats,
I just had # 3 in October and my girls just turned 3 in November and I haven't used their double since before the baby came.
I find when I take all 3 out ( which isn't very often) I just use his single and the girls walk, so far so good.
I personally wouldn't buy a triple unless you are getting a smoking deal. I have a friend who bought one after she had her twins ( her oldest was only 1) and she barely used it, but I think she spent $700 on it so that was a little different cause she was only able to sell it for a couple hundred.
don't sweat it - it will all work out.
    cheers, p [IMG]

I had a triplet stroller when my twins were born. DS was 20 months. It was a HUGE pain! There was no leg room in the middle seat and it was extremely cumbersome. I had the baby trend stroller. I ended up using my Duoglider and carrying one of the babies in the Baby Bjorn. Now that they are bigger I have a Kolcraft SBS stroller for the twins and DS (who is 3) walks. I'm thinking of getting one of those boards for when we go to the zoo, mall, etc. I would wait if you already have a twin and see if you need it.
