With my son I went into pre-term labor at 30 weeks, packed as soon as I got home, delivered at 35w 6d after my pessary cerclage was removed.

This pregnancy I packed about 1 1/2 weeks ago, just in case. I know I will be getting my cerclage out at 36 weeks and most likely will go into labor immediately, as I did with my son. I finalized the packing today at 33w 4d.

For me personally, I don't think it's too early. If there are still items you will need, just leave those out and keep a list of what you need to add to the bag before leaving for the hospital. I know twins can come early or they can come around your due date.

For me I know I will be delivering before 37 weeks, plus my husband really wanted to bring the bag with us to my NST last week, I said it wasn't totally done yet and we wouldn't need it. He will load it into the van this week for the NST and it will probably stay there until I deliver.

I have put some things in a bag, but if I went into labor right now I definately would not be ready... maybe this is my way of making sure they wait a little longer to arrive ;) . Anyway, people have been bugging me to pack for the last few weeks, but I just don't have a lot of options for clothes right now and if I pack them in the bag I will have to live out of the bag!!!

I believe my bag was packed and in the car at or before 30 weeks, you dont really need to pack that much so i figured i may as well just have it done and one less thing to think about. My sister went in early with her first son and had no bag packed and it was funny watching her hubby try to find things at there house that she wanted him to bring her.
that made me want to pack early. :)

I thought about packing early (after 24 weeks) so that if I had to go to the hospital for any problems, I would have some things ready. However... now that 24 weeks has come, I don't feel ready!!!!

I am one that went into labor and delivered at 29 weeks last time....in the middle of the night no less....I was in the hospital for several days....and I came home with NO BRA....I was leaking everywhere....no one would remember it was miserable! So I say pack your bag...I have mine packed....not the babies ...just mine....I have already had to use it several times as I have been hospitalized.

    Good luck....

I would pack it now while you still have a bit of energy left. I hit a major pregnancy wall at 32 weeks where all I felt like doing was sitting on the couch all day. I also had mine at 33 weeks 4 days. I was no way prepared mentally for them to be here that early and it was very hard on me so I would be prepared. Everyone kept telling me how twins come so early and I did not listen and wish I would have. My nursery still is not done and I just dont have time to finish it. All I do all day now is take care of the twins. I am lucky to have time to take a shower or go to the bathroom or eat. I just packed some of my maternity clothes I wore early in the pregnancy after I delivered them. They fit just right.
