    Hi All-
I am 24 weeks now (big milestone!) and every time I go the doctors, the babies are always changing their positions.
Head up, head down, both head up, etc.... when do they finally settle into their birthing position?
    Thanks
    Carrie

Mine were in their final positions at 28 weeks I think.. BUT babies can move up to the day before birth. There is less chance of twins moving towards the end, but anything is possible! Congrats on your milestone!

Was watching one of the many birthing shows that are on tv the other day and the lady ended up having to have a c-section b/c the babies(she was having twins) were moving so much during labor that one minute they were head down, then breach and so on. So I guess up until they come out, they can change.

Mine moved many many times. I had an ultrasound at 35 weeks 6 days and they were transverse with both heads on the right- the day I delivered they were still transverse, one on the right, one on the left- so it can happen the whole pregnancy!!! My doc told me at 34 weeks he was really doubtful they would move- talking about going head down though.

Between 32 and 36 weeks my twins changed positions. At 32 weeks, they were both head down, but by 36 baby b had turned transverse.

Two days before my section baby A was transverse, the next day, head down. I was 38w 2d at delivery. You just never know!

Believe it or not, they can move right up to delivery..I went to a doc appt. to check position of the babies two days before I was to be induced and they were both head down, they were also head down the previous week. My water broke the next day and by the time I got to the hospital Baby B was transverse. I was still able to have a vag delivery since he moved into position after I delivered A so you just never know.

Baby A was vertex & Baby B was breech at 32 weeks.
Baby A was vertex & Baby B was vertex at 34 weeks.
Baby A was vertex & Baby B was transverse at 36 weeks.

    Thanks All!
Looks like these babies will continue to "rule the roost" and anything goes!
