    Hi
Just wondering when your little ones sat at the table in booster chairs with you? Iam looking forward to getting rid of the high chairs!!

We never got highchairs because we didn't really have the room for them. We use the booster seats with trays. I could just push them up to the table, but when I'm feeding them on my own, its just easier to use the trays so I can sit in front of them.

It is really nice to be able to just push the chairs under the table after meals and not have another piece of furniture to contend with. Plus, since they fold up, its easy to take them to Grandma's, etc. if we need to.

We never got highchairs. They take up too much room, especially 2 of them, and my oldest DD only had a booster seat (with the trays), so we just got boosters for the twins. We fed them in the boucny seat until they were about 9 months old. Then we started putting them in the booster seat during meals with us. So about 9 months.

Yes, they are very portable, we take them with us all the time.

Mine have started within the last month using boosters at restaurants occasionally instead of high chairs. They work fine unless there's someone catching their attention behind us! [IMG]

We used the boosters instead of high chairs also. They just sat up to the table with us for dinner every night. They stopped using them altogether at 2 1/2. In restaurants, they started using boosters at the table around 18-20 months. Once they were out of boosters, I bought dining chair covers with an inflatable seat for the table and loved them - they gave them a boost and kept my chairs clean [IMG]

Just after their first birthday, we bought the booster chairs. At around 16 months we switched to having them eat at the table without the trays. At around 20 months, we started eating dinner together, all four of us, at the table. DH's work scheduled changed a bit so that he could get home a tad earlier which allowed us to finally eat together. It is so much easier now just being able to prepare one meal and sharing it all together!

We were highchair users and around their 2nd birthday, they no longer wanted to be in them. They had had too many experiences with sitting at tables and wanted their turn. So, we started using their boosters. I love it. It gave us more incentive to all sit down for dinner and me too. I think they also begin to use manners and you can be more consistent with table manners when they are physically there.
I was planning on keeping them in their highchairs till at least 2.5 but they decided differently. Good luck with any decision you make!

We never used high chairs either the feeding chairs fully recline now and worked from infancy and they are still using them at 3. I gave my high chairs I got at my shower away -- luckily I registered for pretty inexpensive ones. I felt so bad about that, I assumed I would use high chairs but then never had the need to.

i use the first yrs 4way feeding seats and still use the trays and still buckle them in. maybe after they turn 2 we will work on having them AT the table with us. but for now, having these chairs next to the table works well. although it's harder to monitor the manners of both children when one is slightly behind me.

Mine have used booster seats with trays at my parents and in-laws since they were about 7 months old. At home we were using full size high chairs. Last month at 19 months old we bought them Stokke Tripp Trapp chairs and they eat right at the table with me and DH now. They have not had a problem adjusting to their new chairs and love to be able to sit at the table with us.

We moved out of high chairs into boosters around 18 months or so, and just got out of boosters about 2 months ago.

Mine still sit in their highchairs, but they're pulled up to the table (no trays). They've been that way since about 18 months or so. I just don't want to clean food off my chairs or I would use the boosters!

I think we gave up highchairs some time around 18 months. My mom bought them boosters for her house and we wound up with them. They worked out great but muy girls didn't use them for too long because they are so tall. Even before the boosters though we always had them pulled up to the dining room table to eat with us.
