When did yours go to 2 naps?

My LO's are almost 10 months old and still take 3 naps every day. They still only manage to stay awake 2 to 2.5 hours at a time. There are days where they make it longer (usually if we aren't at home), but just wondering if others were still on 3 naps at this point. My pedi says just be happy that they are good sleepers. You'd think that would be enough and I wouldn't even question it, right? I'm certainly not complaining just wondering about others.

BTW - they sleep 11 - 12 hours solid at night too.

    Thanks!

My Lo's dropped this nap around 8.5 months. They would either cry or play for the third nap. I gave it a week straight of this and stopped putting them down. I did have to make their bedtime about 30 min earlier for awhile. It was a hard transition for mine. It took a good month or so for them to really adjust to it. I tried going to a 2-3-4 hours schedule with them. 2hour am nap, 3hours afternoon nap, and 4 hours bedtime. I can say at 10 months they are finally getting used to it. Some days they are cranky and some days they are fine!

    GL!!

Mine dropped the third nap at 6 months (a little too soon if you ask me) but having them get the third nap was really tough and stressful. Once we went to a 2-3-4 schedule, naps went so much better during the last half of the FY!

Mine are in the process. Some days they need three, and other days they just don't take a third. I'll put them down and they play instead of sleep. I am just letting them lead.

We had to stop with the third nap when the girls was about 5-6months, otherwise it was very difficult to get them to sleep at night. They are 10months today, and sleeps from 10-12am, 2-3.30pm and about 12hours at night. Our oldest girl was a sleepyhead at that age, she was only awake about 6 of 24hours... Enjoy it, it won't last for ever!!:)

Mine dropped the 3rd nap around 5.5 months. They were taking a 1 hour cat nap in the morning a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and they would sometimes take another nap in the late afternoon but it was really hard to get them to nap, they fought it, but mine tend to wake up later in the morning, not til 8:30-9 some mornings. So they do alright in the evenings but if we are out and about or if they were really active they will take a nap in the evenings but not usually...

Mine was between 10 and 11 months. Jake tended to need a third nap more days than Ryan. At about 15/16 months they dropped to just one nap.

mine are still doing three. they do the first about an hour after wake-up, another one after their 10:00 bottle, and a third after their 2:00 bottle. they're less solid on the 2:30 nap but they still need it.

at first i figured it was an adjusted age thing. now i think they might just take after mommy and need more sleep!

We started trying drop it at 6 months, by 9 months it was easy to be on just 2 naps but in between there it was a little crazy!

Around 6 months or so, they just both didn't want to take the third evening nap anymore. Now they do anywhere from 1-2 hours at 9:00 and then 1-2 hours between 1:00 and 1:30. If we take them out in the afternoon and it's a longer drive they tend to catnap which
    messes up their 7:00 bedtime!
They are nearly 8 months now.
I find that as long as they have a good morning nap there is usually no problem if they don't have a great afternoon nap.

Around 9 months we dropped the 3rd nap. If they act really tired later in the day, then I'll put one down, but that is very, very rare.
