I was just curious when did your twins notice each other? I don't think mine know that each other exists or even care yet. Even if I have them both in a position where they can see each other, they could care less! They don't even look at each other! When did your twins start interacting with each other? My babies don't play with anything right now, I guess they are too young, but when did your babies start playing with each other?

Just something I was pondering sitting here on a midnight shift at work..... :D

My girls first noticed each other just before their 4th month "birthday". It was so cute! In the past month or so they have started interacting with each other. "Talking" while they are bing changed (I put them in one crib to do this), laughing at each other while we are on the floor playing, reaching for each other, etc. This is definitely a fun stage!

Mine noticed each other around the 4th month also. Now they will look at each other and giggle but no playing as of yet. That will come soon enough!

At 12 weeks they smiled at each other and at 15 weeks I noticed they would cry when the other cried. I guess it was around 5 months when they saw each other as individuals rather than just an object but to this day, I think they care less about each other. Right now, they mostly interact when one takes the toy from the other or when one touches the others ear or face out of curiosity. If we hold them so that they are looking at each other, they do anything but lok at each other. :icon_eek:

Mine realized there was another there that would be sticking around at about 4.5mo or so....at 7ish months they started to "communicate" with one another and now they make each other laugh alot and follow each other around!

Mine realized that the mysterious "object" was another baby at about 4 months as well. Now they're crawling on each other and taking toys away from each other. It's a lot of fun :)

Mine seem to notice each other already. They will turn towards each other & give each big smiles & start "talking". They reach out with their little fist & touch each other's face. I really love it when they are laying "talking" to each other, it is so stinkin' cute!! They also seem to be fascinated when one starts crying...the other will stare & stare. And a lot of the time, when the one stops crying the other will start & then the first will stare, LOL.

They seemed to have been really into each other from the beginning though. They would snuggle up to each other & would go fast asleep as soon as one was placed next to the other. I can't wait to see how this develops as they grow.

It was around 4 months when they KNEW the other was there, but they didn't start interacting until 6 months. We would face them towards each other in their bouncies, and they would play with their toys together, we clipped their toys together on those plastic toy chain things, they played tug o' war... it was cute!

They've just started to notice each other this week ... when I'm nursing them on the pillow, usually it's Con who will look at Chase and smile and start cooing, but Chase is chowing and could care less ... they noticed each other and were smiling at each other while sitting on Dad's lap too, that was precious!

Mine started to notice each other right at 4 months. Now they smile and laugh at each other, and sometimes stare and study the other.

definitely around 4 months. as time went on, they noticed each other more and more...talking to each other, holding hands and just reaching for each other. then they would just stare at each other and smile, which is really cute. don't worry, they will notice each other. i was always asking the same question...because they are twins, i just thought they would instantly know who the other one is!

At ten weeks Tiana knows when Jacinda isnt there. My daughter said that daycare told her the only way they can calm Tiana down sometimes is to take both babies out of their cribs and put them on a blanket on the floor together. As soon as Tiana can sense Jacinda is there she calms down. Jacinda will reach over and touch her. Cute!!! :)
