Right now TRU is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale. I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy another Little People set because I would like to buy the kids the Little People Nativity Scene. We already have the house, zoo, and farm. They love them but I am wondering if we really need another set. Do your 3-5 year olds play with Little People at all? At Xmas mine will almost be 2.5. Thanks!

My girls will be 3 in November and they still play with them. I was thinking of getting them some more. I played with little people probably until I was 9. :FIFblush: Of course, back then they wree just heads and bodies, no limbs. But they were so much fun! I used to design my own houses with building blocks, basically just a blueproint floow plan, and thne I'd add all the little accessories. I wish they'd go back to the way they were.

    Sorry, highjacked the thread there!

My oldest DD played with little people until she was around 4. Then we put them away because she had gotten so many other new toys. Now that we have them back out for Emilie and Trevor, she will still play with them at almost 7. I would say they are the perfect age for them, I would get them some more.

Yeah, I would say they really don't know how to play with them until they are 2.5. They can do a lot of pretend play with the various sets. My girls love their "little guys."

I was going to reply with the exact same thing about my 6 year old. I think they are a good toy investment. They last for many years!

Mine are almost 2 and haven't even started to play with them yet (other than to put them into and take them out of various containers) -- so I hope they're not about to be too old for them!

    Confession time.

My girls don't have any little people (we do have the mega blocks block buddies though) but I  played with little people until I was at least 7  if not longer. My brother and I made an entire little people world in our basement playroom, and he was older than me so he was still doing that at at least 10.

I don't know what sets there are now-a-days, but my favorite was an A-Frame house (with a cool bell) and a Pickup/camper with a boat as the lid.

My girls will be 5 in Nov. and they still play with them. We actually put them away for a little while and then took them back out when my son was about 6mths and they started to play with them again then.
