When did your breech baby turn to vertex?

    I had a question...

I had a Dr.'s appointment yesterday and when he checked heartbeats (via US) , Baby A and Baby B were both breech.

But today, at the peri appt., Baby A was still breech and Baby B was vertex.

At what point will the babies stay in their positions? Will they be flopping around until I deliver, or do they pretty much stay in their positions after a certain week? Just wondering because of course, I would LOVE it if they were both vertex and I could deliver vaginally.

I'm not sure what the "cut off" is for the babies to turn, but my two got into their final position at around 30 weeks. Good luck, I hope that you get to do a vaginal delivery.

I am also not sure what the cut off is. However, a fortnight ago I went in for a growth scan and one was head down and one was breech (they have been this way the ENTIRE pregnancy) and then the nect day at the obs he pointed out that they were both head down. I was 31 weeks at the time. Twin B had flipped overnight and I hadn't even known! They are still both head down. Good luck!

With our 1st set of twins baby B didn't flip till sometime between when I saw my dr last and when I delivered, which was only 3 days and the dr swore there was NO way that baby would turn on his own...lol.

I don't think it's an exact time, mine flip flop.

At 36 weeks, both of my babies were head down, and at my 37 week appointment yesterday, one of them flipped back to breech. So I think they can still move around up until the end. Good luck!!

For my twins, baby A flipped from breech to vertex between 20 and 22 weeks and stayed vertex rest of pregnancy. Baby B was breech the entire time and I had decided I would end up vertex/breech until delivery, when he suddenly flipped vertex about 35 weeks. I did not even realize it because by then they were both so big and constantly squirming that I always felt movement every where. Both babies stayed vertex until they were born at 37 weeks.

Baby A flipped vertex at 35 weeks and my little stinker baby B went from vertex to breech at 38 weeks. I was still able to deliver both vaginally, but yes...they can flip up until delivery.

My baby b never turned, she stayed breech. I delivered them vaginally with no epidural and no tearing or episiotomy or anything. It IS possible! (My MWFM did tell me she's seen babies turn the morning they were delivered though.)

My Baby A turned to vertex at 27 weeks. Baby B also turned vertex at 27 weeks and since turned back to breech at 29 weeks, went transverse at 31 weeks and now she is transverse oblique at 33 weeks. Just keep praying that Baby A stays vertex so I can go for a vaginal delivery.

My A turned between my 28 & 32-week checks and he stayed put until delivery.

my girls were baby A breech baby B transverse 99% of the time - then at 36 weeks I was shocked that both were heads down!! well at 38 weeks they were back to their comfy positions of breech and transverse! so we had a c-section at 38wks 4 days

I know mine were both vertex by week 36, but I'm not sure how soon before that.

However, I can tell you that DS2 was transverse, then breech, then vertex, then breech... he spent his last week flipping every day. They finally decided to section me for breech at 39 weeks 4 days. I came in in the morning and he had flipped in the night and they induced me instead.
