When did your babies sleep through the night?

I know every baby is different and you're not supposed to compare, but I was just curious what the average around here has been for BOTH babies to sleep through the night. What hours are you considering as "through the night"? Also, did you do anything special or let it happen on its own? Thanks!

    Justin 9 months(with CIO)
    Hannah 3 months
    Josh 8 months(with CIO)
    Emma 4 months
    Jake 6 months(with CIO)

I consider sleeping through to be at least 9 hours straight with no wake-ups.

I am convinced more now than ever that we were truly blessed with some of the best babies. They have both been STTN since about 9 weeks old from 10pm to us waking them up at 7am. At 4 months we cut out the 9pm feeding and they are now STTN 7:30pm - us still waking them up at 7am. Wish I could tell you the miracle of how to make that happen, but truth is we didn't do a thing - they are just great babies and they simply decided they were ready.

They've been sttn for about a week now and they both had to CIO during the night for a couple of nights. They go to bed between 6:30-7:00 and wake at 4:30, drink a bottle and go back down til 6:00. I'm not sure how to eliminate that 4:30am wake up time because CIO at that time of night (or morning) would wake up the 3 yo and no one wants to deal with a cranky, over tired 3 yo at 4:30 in the morning (any suggestions???)... but I still consider them sttn (mostly)!!

I am another lucky mama. By 5 weeks old they were sleeping 8 hours, then feeding and then sleeping 3 more hours. By 8 weeks they were sleeping 2 hours straight without waking.

To this day they are great sleepers!

Ruby has been sttn since about month one. She eats last meal 830-10, sleeps until 630-7. Max wakes up between 3 -4 every night. He wakes up around 7 to eat again. His last feeding is around 10-11. I am thankful every day that Ruby sttn, I would be such a mess if it wasn't for that!

They started STTN at 2.5 months. It went from 10pm to 8am and now they pretty much go from 8 pm to 7-7:30ish. I can't say we did anything special, it just kind of happened.

At 4 months we moved them to their own room and they started sleeping 7ish to 4 (feeding) and then up at 6 or so. Two weeks prior to that we started putting them in their cribs awake and drowsy, rather than rocking them to sleep. It is so much easier!

At 4 1/2 months on the nose they STTN til 6:00 for the first time. They've done that twice now--hurray!!! James has done it about 5 times but sometimes Charlotte wakes him up when she cries at 4:15 (on the nose) so I feed both of them when that happens. I was thinking of letting her cry through the 4:00 feeding when she hit 6 months, but now it looks like (I hope!) I may not have to do that.

Maggie was STTN about 5 months of age. The twins were STTN about 7 - 8 months. I considered at least 8 hours of sleep to be STTN (basically skipping a feeding), although now they sleep about 12 hours.

Last night! Both babies slept IN THEIR CRIBS without waking up for a pacifier or being transferred to a swing, etc. from 6:30 until 5:30 am. My little man has finally got it!

Mine were 5 months 2 days :D -- we didn't have to do anything (though they were used to being put down awake, and going to sleep on their own) -- they slept aprox. 6:30pm-6:30am

One of mine started STTN at 10 weeks. The other woke twice a night for feedings until 6 months and then once a night until 9 months. Keep in mind that every baby is different - they may STTN on different schedules. We have never done CIO.

edited to add: We considered SSTN from bedtime to wake time (7-7:30pm until 5:30-6:30am) without waking up.

3 months...literally the night of them turning 3 months. I really didn't think it would happen and we were shocked when it did. We didn't do anything different. Now they are in bed right around 9pm and the last few days getting up around between 6am/6:30. Sometimes Dillon wants to start his day around 5am, I just go give a paci and he goes back to sleep.

    It will happen.
