I am curious as to when everyone's twins consistently started sleeping at least 8hrs at night.

Thankfully when I started back to work in the beginning of February at 4.5 months (2.5 adjusted). They've started to regress though.

By 4 months they were sleeping 10 hours, now at almost 5 months they sleep 12.

Ours will frequently sleep 8 hours, but it is at the beginning of the night, so I don't really consider it STTN since it is the middle of the night for us. It depends on when they go to sleep for the night. Sometimes they will sleep from 7:30-3:30, sometimes 8:00-4:00. I can't understand how people get them to dream feed and then sleep longer. I've tried waking them up to eat and they just won't do it. I can't keep them awake enough to eat anything. We do have nights that they STTN, but they are really sporadic at this point.

19 weeks ACTUAL or 14 adjusted. **** Oh and I consider STTN-- 6pm-6:30 am.. (Yes, I know I know.. I'm very blessed.)*****

Gabe started at 12 adjusted, Nic was getting up once per nite (He WAS my smaller one..)

At 14 weeks ADJUSTED to the day, they were both doing 6p-6:30 or 7 am and we haven't looked back :) ******** *Psychotically knocking on wood.****

At about 4.5 months they slept from 6:30-5am. Well my son would, my DD would sleep until 6:30. Now she gets up with her brother!

Mine started sleeping about 8 hours a little before they were three months old. Pretty quickly after that they started sleeping 12 hours at night, and they still do.

It's not how SHE did that but rather how did THEY do that? At least that's how I see it. It's all about the babies for a long while... Mine were NICU babies who slept 3+ hours between feedings before their due date. And we had some AWESOME sleepers.

LOL! I don't know how I did it or how they do it, but the pedi suggested feeding them more during the day. I formula feed and feed them about every 2 1/2 or 3 hours and they just started sleeping better. I also bought the swaddlers with the velcro and that helped a lot because we were just swaddling them in blankets and they would get out of them and then cry. We swaddle them just in a diaper and onesie. I guess Dh and I decided as soon as they came home from the hospital that 7:30pm was bed time and we feed them at 7pm and off to bed they go. We also have a cool-mist humidifier on at night and I play lullabyes for them. To be honest, I think we just have good sleepers....

DS started STTN (8 p.m. - 6 a.m.) around 3 months. DD around 4 months. Prior to that stretch she was sleeping from around 8 p.m. till 4 a.m., so that was still pretty good in our book.

I seriously can't figure out how everyone gets their kids to sleep that long! I feel like it's a major victory that mine now sleep 7:30p-1:30a. Is it formula-fed vs. breastfed? So we're at 6....I'm guessing we'll get to 12 when they're MUCH older.

How old are your babies? Mine are just about 4 months and I feel the same way. I BF and they seem to wake up every 3-4 hours, however we finally had one sleep 6 hours straight last night. YEAH! major victory, as you said....

I believe some babies are just better sleepers - just like some adults need more sleep and some need less.

Emma started STTN at 4 months but Hannah not until almost 6 months. Now they both sleep 6:30pm until 6:00am.

Mine are 4 1/2 months...they sleep (give or take) from 7:30p to 1:30 a (6 HOURS!), then wake at 4:30 for another feeding, then are up anywhere from 6 to 7:30. I'm always confused as to how people have babes that STTN from early on, when mine always wake up at least once or twice to eat for months and months! Must be the formula???

Mine started reliably around 6-7 months; and have regressed here and there due to development and teeeeeething! Most people I've talked to have told me to never "rely" on babies sleeping through the night once they start; b/c there are always nights that they wake themselves, the key is to have your babies comfortable enough to put themselves back to sleep on their own. Our multiples group locally conducted the same poll and 70% of recipients responded that their twins "reliably" (like, 7+ nights in a row) STTN around 8 months or so. I found once mine became very active, they slept at night much more soundly!

4 months, thank goodness. I couldn't take the sleep deprivation much longer.

oh, and mine are formula fed, so I don't think how you feed them makes as much of a difference as the amount. Like, if they feel full enough to not wake up from hunger, they will sleep better.

I'm still waiting too. Mine want to eat twice in the night, usually. A handful of times they have slept from 7-3 or 8-3 but that's just maybe three times. Twice this week they've eaten three times in the night and it's driving me insane!

My daughter (who is 2 lbs smaller than my son) started STTN (8:00p-8:00a) at 11 weeks. My son goes down at 8 and sleeps until about 3, gets fed and then sleeps again until 8.
