The girls dropped to 2 naps around 8 or 9 months (if I remember correctly). I remember thinking it seemed quite late comparatively. Now there are some days that Emmett seems like he could almost get away with just 2 naps & he's only 4.5 months. So of course, that seems way early! Anyway, just thought I'd take an informal poll & see what was average amongst our group.

The boys were 6-7 months and Hannah was closer to 5-6 months. She's always required less nap time than them....drives me crazy as the boys don't nap anymore and she only naps 1-1.5hrs:/. At least she goes to bed early and gets roughly 13hrs at night!

The twins were 8 months when they dropped down to two naps. :good: Alexander does two naps now sometimes. Most days it's two good naps with a short cat nap around 3 to make it to bed time. I think alot of it has to do with us being out and about once the twins get out of school? Or he just needs less sleep then them.

Gigi only has 2 naps most days and I'm not sure when she started doing this. Occasionally she'll have a 3rd catnap but she fights it. I can't complain because she sleeps from 8P-8A and at least one of her naps is usually a good 2-3 hours long. Her sleep patterns are the polar opposite of what the twins' were.

I voted 6 months because that is when I put them on a 2 nap-schedule to prepare for my return to work. But one of them consistently needed an additional morning catnap until 9 months, so was not really ready to make the change to 2 naps yet.

I put down 6 months as to when my two went to two naps. But prior to that, naps were really all over the place. I was trying to implement to HSHHC method of napping and that really wasn't working for my two. When I stumbled on the 2-3-4 schedule, it worked so much better and it worked out two naps and then bedtime.
So it could have been earlier for them but 6 months is when we had a consistent time with naps and were on a good schedule.
