We've been using tooth paste with DS for awhile, but I don't remember when we started--I just remember getting the okay from their pedi. When did you start using it with your children? Thanks.

We've always used the training paste, in fact, at their recent dentist appt, she said it was still okay to use that until they get the grip of spitting out the paste. We did just start using paste this past weekend w/ DD b/c she's good about spitting and rinsing. My twins are almost 4.

Sorry, I meant the training tooth paste...

I know during the first year I was told just to use water, but I don't remember when that changed.

We started using a pea-sized amount of the training paste (which has flouride in it), when they were 15 mos. at the advice of their pedi dentist.

    oops, sorry ;)

We started w/ teh training paste (minus flouride) at about 10 mths. That was hwne they started helping to brush their own teeth.

We used the training paste as soon as they would let us brush their teeth. Now they use the regular stuff and LOVE to spit so its a blast for them. They love to floss and brush, I think they just follow the herd at our house to the bathroom before bed and just "monkey see monkey do" it. So they would probably freak out if I didn't give the same toothpaste!

I started them at 1 yr old with toothpaste (OralB stages). At 3, they love brushing their teeth and would be in there all the time doing it if I let them.

At the pedi dentist office, they recommend to start giving a small pea size flouride toothpaste. And they haven't been doing so good with it. So, I am still using the training paste for now.

As soon as there was a tooth to brush and they met the age requirements for the Oragel okay to swallow paste. Of course, only used a teenie tiny amount.

I've been using the training paste since they were about 11 months old.

We started using the training toothpaste that I believe is flouride-free right after their first birthday.
