I am 24 weeks pregnant and to be honest, I'm still feeling really good. Other than a pain in my ribs and sounding like Darth Vader when I sleep, I have no complaints. Just wondering when people started to feel uncomfortable being pregnant??

I started to feel real uncomfortable around 31/32 weeks. I will be 33 weeks tomorrow.

I'm going to say 34/35 weeks. However, I am very good at being pregnant and generally like being pregnant. I also don't tend to get the emotional rollercoaster. I didn't get uncomfortable until I had trouble getting into a good position to sleep. Even then, it wasn't too bad. I feel very lucky compared to a lot of the stories I have read on here about carrying twins. I won't say it was a breeze for me, but I didn't think of it as hard. I am 5'1" and my babies were 6,9 and 6,13 when they were born at 37.1 wks. I was not near labor, but they determined I had run out of room (lack of height) and they didn't want the environments to degrade.

I never really got uncomfortable during my pregnancy. I did deliver at 36wks so maybe that had something to do with it. I was running around after my 19mths old up until the day I gave birth and really had no complaints. I guess the only hard thing was picking stuff up off the ground which I eventually gave up on and just pushed it into a corner until DH would pick it up for me. I would say I had a very good twin pregnancy but my singleton one was easy too so maybe I'm just good at being pregnant..

I started to feel uncomfortable around 22-24 weeks, and by 26 weeks I had to reduce my hours at work (office job, sitting at a desk all day) because I just couldn't make it through a whole day. Sorry to say, it got worse from there. It's great that you're still feeling good at 24 weeks -- I hope it stays that way for you!

I felt great till around 34 weeks when the stretch marks sprouted! I hadnt had a single one up to that point and when that started happening my stomach was so sore that I would just hold cold packs to it. Then there was the heartburn. It got so bad for me around 30 weeks I went on prescription heartburn meds. I ended up being induced at 37 weeks after 2 bouts of preterm labor.

Well i thought i was uncomfortable around 24 weeks but 30 has really done it for me! I know everyone is different so it is really hard to judge how your pregnancy will end. With my other pregnancies, being singltons and being in my early 20s, it was a breeze! I have expereinced all of the symtpoms of pregnancy with this pregnancy, and then some! I was always overdue with my others, now
I dont think I will make it to December! The babies are soooooo low that every time they move their head, i get shooting pains in my cervix. I can barely sit up without having contractions. I have really bad acid reflux and am taking pepcid ac every 12 hours and StiLL having heartburn when i sleep and have to sleep sitting up. I cant eat very much, but am packing on the wieght!!! I am just waiting to give birth, wanting them to be healthy yet wanting to feel good again! I hope the next month passess fast and contraction free, yet i dont think I will be so lucky!

I felt great up until 25 weeks when the swelling started in my feet. Now it is also in my lower legs and around my knees. I feel like the marshmellow woman and have such a hard time walking. Sleeping in also impossible these days, I hurt everywhere!

I remember the beginning being very bad, the middle being pretty darn GOOD.. And then at around 33-34 wks I was ready to NOT be pregnant anymore. I had maybe a weeks worth of emotional breakdowns during the 36-37th wk [usually at night from just being in pain [mostly joint pain - knees especially], uncomfortable [swelling], and flat out frustrated with my doc] - 2 bouts were uncontrollable, lol and somewhat embarassing.

That about sums it up ^_^

The beginning was not that great, morning sickness daily, and my blood pressure kept going down. My feet started swelling at 22 weeks so it was really uncomfortable for me from there on because of the combined morning sickness (at midnight, every night) painful ribs, shortness of breath and the sudden change of rapidly increasing blood pressure. Not that great.

I loved being pregnant with my singles! :D I only got real uncomfertable with them in the last couple of weeks.
The twins? I still love being pregnant but will admit, I have good days and I have really bad days. The emotional roller coaster has been much harder this time but there is also a lot of family stuff going on. Jim being gone most the pregnancy is a big emotional drain (pregnant or not) and my grandmother (whom Im very close to) had a massive heart attack last month (again emotional no matter what). I do find it harder to move around and breath. My body does hurt most of the time and Im happy when I get 4-5 hrs of sleep. But, agian, I love being pregnant with them. For me though, being pregnant with twins once is probably enough for me ;) . Glad I got to do it once!!

Things started getting uncomfy around 30 weeks. Still it wasn't too bad.. I got some meds for the heartburn and lots of back rubs from DH.

Now at 34 weeks I'm finally getting those is-it-december-yet?! thoughts. My feet are swollen, the heartburn is back despite the meds, I pee every 2 hours at night and my pelvis just aaaaches.

But knowing there are only a few more weeks left helps make things a little easier.

Honestly when I was 24 weeks I was starting to feel pretty awful. I am 5'1 and don't have a lot of space though so I got big really fast. I was also having a lot of dizzy spells which didn't help. By 26 weeks I was crying to my DR and he took me out of work. Now that I look back - I think what was I thinking?? ;) That was not discomfort.....THIS (35 weeks) is discomfort!!! :D Some people are able to handle it a lot better than others. Glad you're still feeling good!

Im about as far along as you and I feel great, other than being tired. Not sure if the tired thing is just from the pregnancy or from trying to keep up with my other little ones too.

Off and on from about 22 weeks (though that was mostly back pain). Even as early as 15 weeks I was having problems with sitting at a desk all day. It's fluctuated since then though; I've been starting to get more uncomfortable again in the past two weeks or so. But considering I was measuring 36w at my 28w appointment, I guess that makes sense. ;)

I had no morning sickness. I delievered at 38 weeks with a scheduled c-section. I started feeling uncomfortable at 36 weeks. :) I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!

I am putting in links to show you my belly pics. As you will see, one day I seem to be fine... the next I woke up and had this HUGE belly! At that point I gave up bending over, sleeping got really difficult, and I was beginning to think I wouldn't fit behind the steering wheel anymore! I guess all in all, I wasn't too bad, until 28-30 weeks. Then I had a harder time of it. Once the babies started really gaining that end weight of .5 lb a week, that is when it really got uncomfortable... but as you see by my sig, they were pretty big babies. Up until 36 weeks, I was still walking around Walmart to do my grocery shopping. At that point I decided to use the motorized scooters and let the nurses wheel me back to the OB department to have my NST's done!

I was able to work till about 24 weeks and that is when I decided to take leave. I worked at a daycare and lifting the babies to change diapers and put them to bed was just too much. Also at that time, I started coming home completely exhausted, to the point I came home crawled in bed and was in tears. I felt soo much better when I took leave and was able to rest. My OB was happy I had left as he was ready for me to go on partial bedrest at that time anyway. I was measuring 38 weeks at that time.

For me I started getting uncomfortable when I was around 28 weeks, but mostly because they're transverse all the while and I just can't find a good position to sit nor sleep. Also, I'm realli petite, and thus I tend to feel and look a little clumsier than fellow twin preggy mum. I thk it varies between individual and your tolerance towards discomfort. I'm almost 34 now and is taken out of work completely cos gynae didn't think I shud be walking ard too much with that big thing! :p :p

35 weeks, up to that it was a breeze, after that it was hard but doable (although I had severe swelling and pain in 1 leg which was a concern but turned out to be nothing ... just heavy babies). Overall, I was very lucky ... very smooth pregnancy.

I think 33 weeks when I got the stomach flu for the first time. By that time, I was sleeping very well at night either.

I feel uncomfortable at times here and there- starting around now-34 weeks.
But really, not bad at all. I can see in a few weeks being over it-plus I live in San Diego area and it is about 95 degrees and dry right now outside.
But I have felt great my entire pregnancy and my last day of FT work was Friday working at a preschool with 2 yr olds-still sitting on the floor and all!

I would have worked longer but Dr said no, b/c I honestly feel fine.

You may not ever feel that bad-hopefully!

I'm still feeling pretty well at 32 weeks. Like a pp said, picking stuff up is hard but DH is very helpful around the house. Actually he's kind of taken over the house work completely. I unload the dishes :D The only complaint I really have is that it's hard to find a comfy sleeping position and without Tylenol PM almost every night, I wouldn't get more than 2-3 hours at a time. My SI (sacroiliac) joints in my lower back are out and I see a chiropractor at least twice a week to adjust my back and deep massage my hips. I am still working 35 hours a week, chasing my 18 month old daughter and running my 6 year old daughter to dance class and girl scouts, but I also have to add that I am a tall, 'bigger boned' woman who is used to carrying around a little extra weight. Good luck to you.
