When did you start having Braxton Hicks with your twins?

Would it be impossible for me to be having them at 9 weeks (doctor says I'm measuring at 12 weeks)? It could just be the weight of my newly heavy belly on my uterus - I can't really identify exactly what I'm feeling.

I did not have braxton hicks until later in my pregnancy (around 30 weeks), I would recommend talking your OB about how you are feeling. It's possible that you are feeling the weight of the uterus or your muscles are starting to stretch.

I started BH around week 19, around the same time as they started with my other kiddos. I'd also guess that its stretching muscles. Yer lil ones are probably going through a growth spurt :p

I went to almost 32 weeks and never had any (at least as far as I know).

9 weeks does sound pretty early - too early - for BH. I started noticing them around 22 or 23 weeks. I didn't feel them at first, but I could see my abdomen clenching into sort of a ball in the center. Now, at 28 weeks, I feel a tightening sensation in my lower abdomen when I have them, but it's not painful.

I think 9 is too early personally. I started having them daily at 16 weeks but they were very irregular. I wonder if you are experiencing round ligament pain from the stretching of your uterus.

That round ligament pain is nasty, so I bet that is what it is. The uterus stretching can be quite uncomfortable.

Same here and I ended up in hospital for a week as it turned out I had a UTI which triggered contractions. I think it is a little early to be experiencing BHs this early but check with your OB. GL!

I have to agree with pp, I think you are too early to be having Braxton-Hicks. If you think you are having cramping or contractions, you need to contact your OB. I had BH early in my pregnancy, around 20 weeks or so. What you may be experiencing is round ligament pain, as someone already mentioned, and it is painful. That is something I never had with a singleton, but with my twin pregnancy it was awful and early!!

Fifteen weeks. Nine does seem early, but when you know the feeling of BH contrax, there's no mistaking them. It's like your uterus is making a he-man muscle with his bicep. :D I asked my doc and she said 15 weeks isn't too early at all. Not sure about 9 though...
