When did you pack hospital bag?

I think I may be really dragging my butt on things this time around, because I am just not ready yet to have these babies! but....they could come soon. When did you have your bag packed and ready to go? Thanks!

 

I don't think you are dragging your butt. I didn't pack mine until I was around 34 weeks or so (maybe a week earlier?) Yes, it is nice to have it done but if you really don't it's okay... the hospital does give you what you need and your husband or a family member could run back home/store to get it for you.

Maybe the packing of the bag can be like the umbrella thing, when you bring one it doesn't rain I wouldn't stress about it, you'll feel when the time is right ^_^

 

With DD I had mine packed at 33 weeks since we knew she was coming early (her fluid levels kept dropping). This time I will probably do it at 30-32 weeks. Just to be safe vs. sorry.

 

I kind of started mine last week and I'm almost 25 weeks. I mainly started because I was bored and no longer working leads you to doing things you would normally put off lol.

 

You know, my water broke early with my daughter, at 35 weeks and I had NO bag packed! So I forgot literally everything. This time I was convinced my water would break early, so I packed my bag at 30 weeks. It is still sitting in the car.... I am 35 weeks now.....still waiting.....

I had planned a homebirth with my son and ended up having to go to the hospital...and had NO bag packed. DH rushed around and threw things together for me as I lay in bed laboring...and let's just say it was a bit of a disaster...he packed THONG underwear!!! Nerd.

So, this time I didn't want to find myself in the same place and being twins and not knowing when they would want to come out, I did it pretty early...about 30 weeks. I do, however, have a big piece of paper taped to the front of it that reminds us to not forget certain things that I can't pack in advance...like the camera, my robe (I use it daily), my toothbrush, the nursing pillow (too big to fit in the bag), etc.

 

TIME TO PACK! Really when I went PTL @ 25 weeks,I came home and packed...it hard to have someone else do it for you really...they dont know what you like or need,so I would do it ASAP...you really dont know what the next weeks will bring!

I am packing mine now at 30 weeks! Slowly, as I can't make it up the stairs well. Hope to have it doen this weekend. Good idea about a note for last minute items! Packing the bag is so exciting! I couldn't wait any longer, and I also didn't want to have to stress about having someone come to the house with a list. My mind will only be on those babies when they get here, not where everything is at home for my mom or dh to find!

I packed mine the night before I was told I needed c-section the following morning. It doesn't take long to pack.

 

I just packed mine on Monday, I am 35 weeks and was having some contractions so I got everything together really quick.

I do not suggest this at all...but I packed the morning I went to the hospital. I was not expecting to go into labor a month early, but the girls had other plans, so I was so unprepared and had to pack my bags while I was in labor...it was crazy!! So 35 weeks and 6 days for me.
