First lower was around 6-7 months. And now we need to lower it the bottom level since my son is standing up in the crib.

We lowered ours when they were beginning to sit up on their own, because they usually learn pretty quickly that they can pull themselves up. [IMG]

I lowered mine when the girls could sit up on their own, so about 7 months. It is getting lowered again tomorrow b/c they both showed us today that they can pull and stand up on their own!!

Apparently too long. Annalise climbed out and fell at 8 months and a few weeks. Bad mommy. Thank God she didn't get hurt. If they can sit well, they can pull up...and over. Don't wait.

We lowered at 6 months when they could sit up well on their own. We went from the top level to the bottom and skipped all the in-between levels so we didn't have to deal with it again (it was kind of a pain)!

I dropped mine down at 5 months. They were rolling all over the place and pushing up to peer over the bumpers. They didn't sit unassisted until 6.5 months but pulled up the day they turned 7 months. I'm glad a friend convinced me not to wait.

As soon as they seem even a tiny bit mobile otherwise you might be surprised to walk in one day and see them standing in their crib -- with a big grin!

Shortly after they learned to sit up -- I think they started sitting at about 5-6 months and we lowered the mattress around 6-7 months.

We never did take out the crib bumpers, though. The official advice is to do that when they start pulling up, but they've never showed the slightest inclination to stand on them. I do try to sort of push them down against the mattress so at least they're more squashed down.

I just lowered them! They look so funny now so low in their crib! Now the mobile seems so far away from them!!

We just lowered ours a couple of weeks ago. I love it when they get up on all fours to peek at their brother or whoever came into the room. I spy onm them doing that sometimes. I can't help myself.

Good question! I hadn't even thought of this and I know that Cameron can pull up because I walked in the front room and he was standing up to a basket of laundry with this look that said "I am the man!" [IMG] I will lower tomorrow.

We just lowered them yesterday because they are sitting up and Kate started crawling. They haven't pulled up yet but you never know.
