    your diaper champ or genie?

I have been with out mine for a long time now and im starting to miss having it here.

Just wondering how old your kids where when you got rid of yours?

Or if you still have it how old your kiddos are. im wondering if it will fit the bigger size diapers. I see some reall great deals on CL and I'm thinking of pciking up a Diaper champ again
    wwyd?

We had the diaper genie & I think once they got into a size 3 it started to get too small. It's been months since I've had mine & don't miss it a whole lot. If they had one that was bigger, I probably would've kept it longer.

We stopped using ours shortly after the girls turned 1 I guess. It just stunk all the time and really wasn't doing any good anymore. Now we use a plastic shopping bag each day and toss it each night... much better.

This is us too. Wet diapers just go in the trash, dirty ones go in a plastic bag on the back porch.

    never used one!

I flush the girls poop now and put them in the regular trash. If we have a big mess, they get tied up with a platstic bag!

I think I got rid of it around 12 months. We had the Diaper Champ, and it kept getting backlogged to where the diapers wouldn't go down it, I would have to open it up and shake the diapers around. Now we have flip-top trash cans.

I never used one. We've always taken the really bad diapers out right away. When we lived in a place where we couldn't just take them out the door to the trash, we put them in plastic shopping bags and tied them up. I would get plastic bags when we shopping just about every other trip for this purpose.

We haven't used it since they were maybe 9-10 months. We put dirty diapers in a plastic grocery bag (tied up) then in the regular garbage. Wet diapers just go in the garbage. It gets taken out at least once, usually twice a day, and this works great for us.

We dumped that funk-magnet at about 10 months (gave it to my sister who was having a baby).

I have a pretty sensitive schnoz and, despite taking any muddy diapers immediately out to the garage, having that thing in the house was more than I could handle.

My twins are almost 2.5 and we still have ours. (They wear size 5 diapers.) We don't use it quite as much because we don't change them as often -- and when they go potty, they will take off their wet diapers themselves and put them in the bathroom trash. So the Champ is reserved mostly for poopy diapers.

It does stink, but not as bad if we remember to wipe it all down with disinfectant wipes every time we change the bag. For us, it's still easier than taking poopy diapers to the outside trash can right away. And if they weren't in the Champ but were accumulating somewhere else in the house, that would stink WAY worse.

my guys are in size 5 and 6 diapers and we still use both of our diaper champs..I can't imagine having to worry about taking the dirty diaper downstairs to get rid of it if I'm upstairs..lazy I guess....I put one of those smelly odor eating things at the bottom of the champ and I really don't smell it.

We've never used one with the twins. We just use those small disposable diaper sacks.

We still use the Diaper Genie at 17 months and my kids are in size 3 diapers. We have ever only used it for poopy diapers, and that's still the case today. I could easily see doing away with it, though, and probably will as my kids begin to get even more creative about how to find ways to open the dang thing.

Genius!!! I always spray the champ down with lysol when I change the bag, but I will also but one of those puck deorderizer things and put it in the champ.

To the OP: my girls are 13 months, wear size 3 diapers and I use the Diaper Champ. I love that I can use regular full size garbage bags in it and I only have to change the bag 2-3 times a week.
