You haven't got an answer for me to vote.

I haven't gotten mine yet either and have been EBF for six months...we still nurse about 8-10 times in a 24 hour period (pardon the pun!)

Not yet, but then again the reason we did IVF was because my "cycles" were 90-180 days long (ovulation issues), so I was messed up period wise before I had them!!

I've been nursing and pumping since the babies were born (2/23/07), and still no AF, even though we don't EBF. (DH always takes at least one night feeding. He is so supportive of BFing that he wants me to get enough rest to make lots of milk! Sigh! Did I marry a dreamboat or what?) I don't miss AF one darn bit!

No, I'm not ovulating. I went into full menopause. On the downside, that means hot flushes, dry eyes etc... I still take the birth control pill for hormonal replacement (it is stronger than hrt and there could be a very slight chance that I might ovulate and get preg). However, I miss about 4-5 pills each month so if it was used for contraception only it probably wouldn't be effect LOL.

On the upside, no periods, no cramps, bad temper etc... and no need to discuss tubal vs vasectomy.

We had not planned to have anymore children but when the choice is taken away from you, you do feel a little sad. Maybe having twins was god's way of making it up to us because I only had one chance for pregnancy. Maybe the egg split because my hormones were so unstable. Who knows? All I know is we have two beautiful girls that we are very proud of (the dr said that I was lucky to have them, that if I waited much longer it may not of being possible).

I can't answer yet for this time, although I'm wondering if it won't take as long to return since I'm not exclusively nursing. It seems like I'm nursing at least as much as I would for a singleton though. Anyway, DD #1 was 10 months old when AF returned. A friend of mine got pregnant just 3 months after delivering a baby (and she was exclusively breastfeeding), so it's not always as much of a birth control method as some people think. ;)

Shortly after 12 months for me and I was still nursing at least 5 times a day (tandem). I blame the long nights because as soon as they dropped their early AM feed and slept 12 hours solid on a regular basis, I had signs of fertility return.

You know, that may have something to do with it! DD has been sleeping through the night since she was about 7 weeks old! (Thank you Lord!) So, I put her to bed at 8:30 pm and dont feed her again until like 6am, she eats then goes back to sleep until 8am.

I exclusively breastfed all of my 5 sons:
AF came back 8 months after #1&2
She never visited after #3 because I was already pregnant with the twins when he was 7 weeks old -- so I supposed she would have visited at 9 weeks
There is NO way to know and unless you want a surprise baby (babies), I would really recommend you use BC -- I had a prescription from the doctor for the minipill but I didn't bother getting it filled because I thought I had more time. Obviously, I was very wrong. :rotflmbo:
