    HI,

I have people tell me all the time that I look small for twins at 26 weeks. I don't care much about what they say and am happy to be a bit smaller in my tummy (my butt is another story...don't get me started). I just had an u/s today and both girls are 2 lbs so that's great.

My question is at what point in your pregnancy did you feel like you got really really big? I keep thinking if they are 5 or 6 pounds at birth that will be three times the size now...and I will be huge at that point. Just curious when it got to be uncomfortably big for you.

Mine weighed about what yours did at 26 weeks and according to everyone I am still very small looking at 30 weeks. Even though I FEEL huge and am measuring huge I look smaller for some reason. I see next week how much the girls have grown....I guess we're all just different. I can still pull my size 4s up to my belly so I guess the babies are just taking it alL!

I think it also depends on if this is your first pregnancy or not. My twins were my second pregnancy so I got bigger faster. Your girls weights are fine right now. Don't worry you will be big before you know it.

I never really got that big. People thought I was pg w/ only one baby. The twins always measured big but my belly wasn't that huge. I've seen some pics of people pg w/ twins and wow....they are really big. I guess it just depends how you are carrying. This was me a few days before I had my twins.

I'm 19 weeks today and I feel huge! I think I've had a huge growth spurt in the last week and the fact that my regular pants aren't really fitting (but I'm still trying to wear them) might also have something to do with why I feel like my belly is busting out! Don't worry though- sounds like your babies are doing just great!! :)

It's nice to see someone not getting that big. I am 23 weeks and am alot smaller than my 2 friends. One of whic is due a week before me & the other also with twins due 2 weeks after me. We did lunch and everyone was like, you're so much smaller. I was getting worried too. Even though they both weighed in average. I am relieved to hear not everyone gets as big.

Never. I delivered at 31 weeks, but everyone who saw me all along always, always said "I thought you'd be much bigger". I had a friend 3 weeks ahead of me with a singleton, and she always looked noticeably bigger than me. They were a healthy weight for their gestation though, 50th percentile. So all was okay.

Even though I am still kind of early in the pregnancy, everyone tells me they thought I would be bigger than I am. I went into maternity clothes later than many people with twins. First pregnancy too. I think I carry differently with a tall torso. My babies are right on track and I do measure four weeks larger. I guess it just all depends.

Well - keep in mind that I am 5 feet tall and this is my second pregnancy - but I had my "growth spurt" between 20 and 24 weeks.
I am pretty much out of most of my maternity clothing and have no idea what I am going to do for the next 13 weeks.

A lot of people say I am small to have twins
I lot of people say I am big

I just say "give me another cookie please :p "

I'd say I got pretty big around 28 weeks or so and now my belly just seems huge! I am a pretty petite 5'3" and the weight has luckily not spread to the rest of my body, but my stomach is large! As of the last few weeks I get multiple comments every day from strangers who want to tell me how big I am and when I mention that it is twins, they all say something like, "Oh, I knew it must be twins".

So, I would say the really striking growth has happened in the last three or four weeks. I guess the babies start to really put on the weight toward the end and so does mommy. But I still have people say how small I am and other people tell me how gigantic I am all within the same day.

I have not really gotten that big, I am "all babies" as they say. I didn't really start looking to be what I thought was big until around 30 weeks. Now if I measure my what used to be waist it comes in around 49 inches (what my hubby will tell me at least). Who would have ever thought I would have a 49 inch waist!!! I do have to say, as strange as it sounds, it does get frustrating when you tell people you are having twins and they say, "You don't look big enough to be having twins" I bite my lip from saying, "Not really, I just wanted to see your reaction"

I love coming back to look in on the expecting forum!

I never got "huge". In fact, I was bigger with my girls' pregnancies... 2 singletons (I gained 65 pounds each time, and they weighed 9lb 13oz and 9lb 5oz). I only gained about 23 pounds with the twins, but they grew just fine! They were born at 36 weeks weighing 6lb 5oz and 7lb 8oz.

So there's no way to know when you will get "huge" or if you even will at all!

When I hit 30 weeks I felt that I was huge. Before that everyone said they couldn't believe I was having 2. After that the comments stopped! I felt really uncomfortable too.

I am 19 weeks and can't fit into any of my clothes. I bought an XL maternity shirt the other day and I know I'm not going to be able to wear this much longer! Right now I look as big as I did at 8 months with my first 2 pregnancies! Within the past month I've noticed a BIG change! Both of my boys weighed over 8 lbs. so good chance the twins will be big...WOW I think about it too much and I worry b/c I see these pics and it looks like their bellies are going to pop...lol I guess I could say I don't really care as long as they are both healthy babies! I don't have much experience on the subject but learning as I go! Good Luck to you!

Im still not very big either. I believe it depends on how big u were to start with!! People tell me all the time that I dont look like i'm pregnant with twins!!! It gets annoying! I didn't know I was supposed to look a certain way, I mean how can you look at someone and say "Hey she's pregnant with twins!" ?
I guess some people just have it tattooed across them or something!!!!! Maybe I should do that!!!!!

I was about the size of an average pg woman with just one baby when I delivered my twins at 37wks 5 days..so you may never get to be as big as some of our twin mommies here... It really depends on how your body carries... I have a wide pelvis that just hides my kiddies... I'm 19 wks now with my 4th child and just starting to show...
