I'm just curious when everyone found out what they are having. I'm almost 16 weeks and I know it's still early but I'm hoping to find out soon, I'm very anxious. Also, is it more difficult with twins to find out?? Has anyone found out about one but the other still a mystery? I'm worried about that!

At 13w, the tech told me she *thought* Baby B was a boy, looked a little thick between the legs. Turns out she was right. At 17w3d we found out A was a girl and B was a boy.

At 17 weeks they told me boy/girl but not to go buy anything yet. Then at 20 weeks they told us definately boy/girl. :good:

At 13 weeks at their Neuchal scan the tech (who has been doing this for 15 years!) said she would confidently 'guess' that they were both girls :)
She was right when it was confirmed at 20 weeks :good:

I had a cvs test done at 11 weeks and they told me the results at 13 weeks that I was having 2 boys. Then I found out that the cvs was wrong and at 18 weeks I found out they were boy/girl. I just knew it...I knew one was a girl...

and wasn't able to tell for sure for baby a
At 18 weeks I was told Baby is a boy baby A probably ( 80%) girl
and at 20 weeks they confirmed.

We found out a few days shy of 17 wks. The tech had noooo problem determining they were boys. It was more like, "HEY!! Take a picture of THIS!!!" Ahhh, they start SO early!

I think with both twins or singletons, whether or not it's easy to figure out depends on whether or not they cooperate for the u/s. Sometimes they just seem to be bashful about showing "the goods." The higher tech the u/s machine, the better the early detection, too, I would imagine.

It seems to take FOREVER to get to the "finding out" point, doesn't it??

Eve - It does feel like it's taken forever, on one hand but the other it feels like time is flying by... weird, I know... It looks like I may have to wait two more weeks but there is a chance I could find out tonight! We'll see.

    Thanks for all your comments!!

At the nuchal scan @13 wks, the tech guessed boy for baby A; baby B was being shy so she couldn't get a good look. The 20 wk sono confirmed that baby A is indeed a boy, and it is at that time we learned baby B is a girl.

At my nuchal scan at about 14 weeks the tech said she was 90% sure they were both boys. Three weeks later at around 17 weeks they were definitely boys. At my level two it was obvious to even DH and I that they were boys.

We found out the same day we found out it was twins! It was at around 19 weeks. Actually, we found out one was a boy and that they shared a placenta (which they didn't) and we confirmed the other boys a week later.

I think this wait is so frustrating b/c you want to get started shopping! You can't even do a registry w/out knowing the sex! Hang in there!

My Dr told me at 16 weeks that she thought that one was a girl but could not say for sure and she was not able to determine the sex of the other baby at that point. At 19 weeks we found out we were having 2 girls!!

I found out at 15 weeks exactly that it was two boys. I don't think it matters if there is one or two just on how much they are willing to corroperate. If you are having identicals (one placenta) that will make it even easier because you know what one is the other will be. I have heard that they can be wrong before 18 weeks but I think as long as you have a tech that knows what they are doing you should find out a fairly accurate guess.

I had the Nuchal Translucency test at 12 weeks, and the tech said she "thought" it looked like a boy and a girl. But, I have my level 2 ultrasound coming up in 2 weeks, when I hit 21 weeks, and I will be told for sure! I hope one is a boy, since my friend just gave me some hand-me-down boy clothes!!!! LOL.

Wow, thanks again for all your responses. We did indeed find out last night that we are probably having two girls! One was a definate - she was on her head with her legs spread! The other wasn't being quite as cooperative however we did get a few peaks and the doc said he's about 80% sure it's a girl also! We have another ultrasound appt in two weeks and he said we should be able to be sure about the second one then. Thanks everyone!!

We found out at my 19 week U/S. It was very easy to tell & the tech noticed both (boys) right away w/out any difficulty. I remember I was feeling the exact same way....so worried that we wouldn't be able to tell or that we would only find out one gender & not the other. I was surprised that it was so obvious right away....and relieved! ;) Also, we've had several u/s since then & they are both still boys! lol

At 16 weeks the U/S tech saw the three white lines that meant Baby B was a girl, Baby A kept his legs clamped when she was looking at the sex's but she thought she had seen a penis while doing the actual scan.

At 18 weeks I had the level 2 U/S and baby A was definatly a boy, but Baby A wasn't the greatest at cooperating for the tech, but when the peri came in she showed him right away

I had another U/S last Wednesday at 22 weeks and they were both the same=)

Good luck it's so hard waiting to find out=)
