When did my 15 month old turn into a 2 yr old?

By the end of the day today I just wanted to pull my hair out. When did my 15 month old decide she was a 2 yr old?! The attitude my Leighanna can have is absolutely amazing. All day she was giving me attitude, she would get mad at any little thing she didn't like and give me this "who do you think you are" look and hit me or her sister. She spent a lot of time in her sofa today. Bath time was the icing on the cake, after telling her to sit down for the 20th time I looked at her and ask her if she really wanted to keep this up, and sure enough her response was "yeah". :cray: I then gently guided her down and she looked at me and stood right back up. I then said "fine your done", and she shook her head no at me! I then said "yes, you are getting washed up, getting out and going to bed", and she shook her head no again. :icon_eek: I just can't believe my baby is a little ball of attitude. I know I better get used to it, 2 is around the corner. :) But is this normal to be happening around this time? Or is the red hair shinning through? :)

She sounds like my Emilie, although Emilie doesn't have red hair Trevor does, so I'm not sure you can blame this on the red hair. I think some girls just get attitudes like this earlier. Isn't it fun??? :)

My boys are like this too, but in different ways. They are climbing on everything and I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown just waiting for our first trip to the ER for stitches. No matter how matter of fact I say things (or with mean mommy voice) it's all a game to them and they are back up where they shouldn't be before I can turn around.

I can't wait until they are 2 so I can do time out. Right now if I did the "sofa method" it would turn into a HUGE game for hours on end.

as far as standing in the bath..one thing I've found to help me? Tell them to sit on their butts or they are getting out. Give them 1 warning and then take them out. They will get MAD, but they'll learn quicker that way!

When I put them in the tub, we start washing up immediately, then they get play time. If they stand before playtime, they get out anyway.

i did that once and my daughter slipped on the floor because her feet were wet and had a nasty fall. It's hard to do it for me while one is still in the tub and the other one is dripping wet and naked!! Not to mention that when i take the "bad" one out, my other daughter always wants to come out with her. This method does not work in my house!! I'm sure not every day will be like today..Hopefully tomorrow will be better for you!!

Today was much better, Thank God!!! This may sound bad but I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one dealing with 2yr old behavior before 2yrs of age. Thank you everyone.

Glad the day went better Trish. But I am sorry to say I found the 3's way more challenging with my oldest DD.
