I know it's still early and the babies can definitely turn again, and hopefully will, but was curious when babies settled into their "final" position for you? My doc said that most twins will eventually run out of room to turn again, unlike singelton babies. I am at week 28 and hoping they go head down since I fear the C-section but it may not happen. Thanks, Lanie

My girls each flipped between 28 and 32 week ultrasound.
    There is still hope!

My babies have been head down and transverse since 28 weeks, but the ob said that if they are going to turn, usually it's by 34 weeks. I was hoping my Baby B would turn head down, but it doesn't look like it, we are still hoping for a vaginal delivery, as Baby A is head down and they will try to turn Baby B after Baby A is born.

    Good luck!

My girls were transverse at 24 weeks and remained that way until 34 weeks when they were born

My babies are in the same position as yours and have been for the last several weeks. My ob says they still have time and room to move (I'm hoping my transverse baby will settle into a position that's a bit more comfortable for me!)... Good luck! I hope they move into a position that lets you avoid a c section!

My boys are positioned the same...baby a breeched & baby b transversed at 32 weeks. They have been this way forever & looks as if they are extra comfortable this way! I am hoping they will move into position to avoid c-section.

I had 2 vertex at 26 weeks ... at 30 weeks my boy (Twin "B") flipped to breech and stayed that way. I still had a vaginal delivery with a breech extraction for my son (born 4 minutes later).

Hey- we both have one a little over two years old and we're both 28 weeks with babies in the same position! You're my twin!

Baby a has been head day from day one it seems and baby b flipped by my 30 wk sono-they are both now in position and I am hoping they stay that way. I was able to feel the baby moving-it was very uncomfortable and I couldn't figure out what was going on until the sono. Good luck!

My baby A is head down and Baby B is head up, I am 28 weeks and this was their position as of 2 days ago. Hoping Baby B goes head down as well. At my first peri appt he said as long as Baby A is head down, then can go vaginally, if she turns breech will have to be a C-section. He said sometimes Baby B will go head down as well which of course is ideal, but happens in like 10-20% of twin pregnancies. He said if Baby A turns breech a C is in order though.

I'm encourgared by those whose babies have turned rather late. My baby A is breech and baby B head down but body transverse, and they've been that way from the beginning. I have my 33-week U/S tomorrow and hoping that somehow, Baby A decided to flip. If not, it looks like we'll be scheduling the c-section. My peri said thier final position is usually determined by 33-34 weeks, but I guess there are always excpetions to that rule....

My babies were both head down @ my 28 wk u/s. The tech did the measurements for Charli (baby A) and by the time she got over to measure Tommy (baby B) he had flipped into a breech position and niether one of us felt him flip. Later that night he did flip back over and is now still head down, in part thanks to Charli, cause she kept kicking him in the head after he flipped and continued to until he flipped back (thata girl).

My Baby A flipped from breech to head down at 34 weeks. He had been breech for about 10 weeks. Hoping he stays in this position!!! B is still making up her mind, but the doctor is comfortable doing a breech extraction or trying to turn her after A is born.

    Hi,

I really wouldn't worry about it until the day i know its easier said than done. Ive just had twins @ 33wks scan showed that my daughter was head down and my son was breech - the scan 2 days earlier showed that they was both head down and the scan 2 wks earlier showed she wa head down and he was trans.

Its your pregnancy and your babies you do what you want to do and believe me nature will takes its course as long as you and your babies are happy and healthy thats all that matters.

Enjoy being pregnant and good luck
