My question is just that...When could your significant other feel the babies? My DH feels left out and keeps asking when he will be able to feel the babes. I am hoping it is soon so that it will motivate him to clear out their nursery!
    TIA!

My DH felt them at 22 weeks, now he feels them all the time, expect for that whenever he puts his hand on my belly the babies stop moving, I call him the baby charmer, I hope that works after they are born!!

i think around 20 weeks too. but it's pretty rare - same as the PP - whenever he comes close, they stop. It's like they think "oh, dad's here, we better be good!". They could be moving like crazy, and then he comes in the room and they totally settle down. But he has felt a few good kicks occasionally, or seen the thumps on the belly.

Just last week, druing the middle of week 20. The babies are starting to kick harder and as they grow I'm sure he will be able to see them moving around.

My DH was able to feel light movement by 20 weeks but by 22-23 weeks, he could feel some nice strong movement. The glow on his face was amazing. Your DH will be experiencing it very soon. :D

22 weeks was the magical number for my dh. Before that he was just a shy observer to the good times I would have feeling the boys move. Fun family times.

around 20 weeks, but as with the rest of you, they like to stop when he puts his hand on my stomach. i read somewhere that they can feel their dad's heartbeat through the belly and it's calming to them. seems about right to me.

As PP said it happened around 22 weeks. Try putting a flashlight on your belly and they will try to get outta the way of the light and he can feel them!! Worked for us!

It was really early when everyone else could start feeling movement. It was only small movement and you had to be still and patient when they were moving, but my family waited 10 years for this moment so we were all eager to feel. I would say it was around 18-19 weeks. But now they are harder movements that can be easier felt. Although they tend to stop by the time anyone else gets to feel. DH gets to feel them at bedtime though. I haven't seen the belly move at all yet, but can't wait for that!!

Around 19 weeks, my oldest son felt them first and teased him about it.

Pretty late for us -- I think it was about 26 weeks. I couldn't even feel them myself until 20 weeks or so -- well, I had been feeling them earlier, but I thought it was gas. But it took a lot longer before they would kick hard enough for him to feel. And then of course most of the time they'd just kick once and he'd miss it. What helped was for us to spoon with my belly against his back -- that way if one kicked, he'd feel it right away.

my DH and DD felt them for the first time this weekend....right at 19 weeks. But remember that placenta positioning and baby positioning have a lot to do with when movement will be felt on the inside or outside. I know from my u/s that both my placentas are posterior, or on the back of my uterus so I think that may be why they have been able to feel them and I have been able to feel them so early on. I have been feeling them for quite a while now myself.
