Mine are so close to exceeding the weight limit and size for the Graco snugride.(yes already)
They are not sitting up completely.
When will they be ready for the stroller w/out the carriers??
As much as I love the carriers, I will be happy when they can sit in the stroller.
Summers in Florida are brutal and they get so hot in them and that's why they get fussy

Mine started around 5-6 months. They are so much happier too because they can see everything that is going on around them. I had big 5 month olds too so I completely understand. I would just take them for a walk w/out the seats and see how they do.

We actually started putting them in the stroller at 5 weeks! Granted, it did not look so comfy, but the straps held them in and they did OK. At 5 months I can't imagine there could be a problem. Just don't put them in a jogging stroller and actually go jogging until they can sit up pretty well.

When we started using the jogging stroller, we propped them with rolled up receiving blankets on either side and had it positioned so they were laying back. Now they are bigger and can sit up more so we don't need the blankets. Try it and see if they like it! GL! -Leighann

ETA after reading Minette's post: We never 'jogged' with them in the jogging stroller- its just a smoother ride than the sng for long walks in the neighborhood. :)

Mine are 3 months, and we just tried putting them in the Duoglider w/o the carseats for the 1st time last week. They liked it much better than with the carseats (which they have never liked!!) because they can actually see what's going on around them!! We just made sure the 5 point harnesses were snug and used some receiving blankets for support. We've also found that they are quite content in the front carriers facing outwards these days too - they must be ready to take in the world!!

    Good Luck - Suzi

I only recently started putting them in the DuoGlider without the carseats, but mine were late sitters - they only sat alone around 7 months. They love it now!!! They love to lean forward and check everything out. I tried at about 6 months and 7 months and they just slid all over and slumped, even strapped in, and the carseats were just easier.

we did it from the very beginning. We have the Valco twin, and they've always liked it.

We did it from the beginning (probably not right away, but at 1 or 2 months). We have the combi twin savvy and a jogger (that I've never actually jogged with). Neither fits the carriers so we had no choice and the girls did fine. They were late sitters, but did fine in the strollers.
