When can they eat raw veggies?

I'm thinking not yet, but just wondering. I am trying to get them to eat more veggies. The only thing they eat reliably is Healthy Choice Vegetable soup. I don't know why they will eat the veggies in that but not otherwise.

I've been giving mine raw veggies for a while, I'm not sure how long. Their favorites are red/green peppers, grape or cherry tomatoes, celery (with pb), baby carrots (sliced thin), baby spinach and cucumber. They also like to take pieces of squash, onion, zucchini and eggplant when I'm using them to make dinner. They call it "salad" b/c their dad likes to eat salad so much.

As soon as mine had all their molars I started to give them raw veggies. The only thing that they really like is lettuce (in a salad) and carrots, but they are really good about trying new things.

i have given raw veggies for a while... like PP said, since they got their molars I would give small grated pieces of carrot, a thin strip of bell pepper, some lettuce. they have their ideas on whether or not to eat it depending on what day it is.

Trevor grabbed a piece of lettuce from my plate a couple weeks ago and ate it and I've been giving them some salad when I have some ever since. They like all kinds of lettuce, spinach, celery, bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, and cucumber. I give them carrot if it's grated but usually I steam sticks or rounds just a little for them instead.

I've also reduced the time that I was steaming their veggies so they aren't so squishy and they seem happy about the change. Oh, and I discovered that they like half-raw potato and sweet potato even though they'll refuse both when fully cooked. Go figure.

I give mine cut up carrots and cucumbers. I just make sure they are really small and the can swallow them whole if they don't chew. [IMG] Sometimes this does result in carrot pieces on the other end.

Oh yeah, I forgot that they do eat tomatoes. I'll give carrots a try tomorrow. Bea is really starting to hit a picky phase, all she wants is cheese and bananas.
