Anyone know when it's safe to put stuffed animals or teethers in there w/ them?

i had only ever put stuffed animals in there that didn't have any kinds of pieces that could come off...i.e. make sure the eyes are sewn and not button type eyes that could come off, etc.

now, after 12 months, they have blankets.

    We just started this month.

Ditto the previous post about making sure nothing can come off..

I've been letting them have their "loveys" in their cribs and PNPs for about 2 weeks now. They have good hand/head control. They are the small blankets with the stuffed animals attached.

I want to say it was around 9 months when they were moving well. I put a couple of small stuffed animals in there. I have since taken everything out because they get in and toss it out anyway. :D

I think it was around 8 months that I put a small blanket and toy in with them.

It depended on the baby- one DS had something w/ him since around 6mo, the other 7mo. I waited till they had good control of themselves and the objects in there. Sometimes I'll put a light blanket over B once he's asleep, but not J- if he gets it around his face/head he still struggles. He only gets the one small stuffed animal.

This is the same thing we did for a little while.... Well then they decided it was more fun to put the blanket on their face and play peek a boo. It is very cute, but can't leave them alone with their lovies anymore. They only thing they get is their paci's unless I am right with them.

We gave them "woobies" at 8 months. They look for them now when they get in their crib. So cool. I never did this with my first.

    what's a woobie?

from day 1, they have had a womb sounds teddy bear in their crib (it straps to the sides of the crib) now, DS loooves it and pulls on it....DD adores her gloworm and grabs and kisses it all over, but i always put it off to the side when she's asleep. both babies have great head control and pretty much move all over.

also, mine have developed an affinity for a cloth diaper in their face while falling asleep, DD tugs on it and sucks her thumb, a la linus from peanuts--once they're asleep i move it, also. This happened quite by accident, as in the beginning we always had a cloth diaper over our clothes while feeding them and under their heads in their cribs in case of spit up, so they became used to it being by their faces all the time... :unknw:
