My DD is making wheezing sounds even while awake since last two days. But seems no difficulty in breathing. She is perfectly fine not complaining or anything. everything normal....but the wheezing is very clear sometimes like a soft snoring sound. What can I do? Should I call doctor?

    I would call.
our guys have been on breathing treatments for the past week due to wheezing & it has helped. Alex was having a little difficulty but chris had none & the treatments cleared it right up. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.

I would defin. call the doctor. There are several infections that can cause wheezing not just asthma. Hope she feels better soon.

I always say that my peace of mind is well worth the copay when it comes to worrying about the kids. Especially if it's something like breathing, or when they seem in pain, or those kinds of things.

I hope she is feeling better soon. My ds had that and ended up on anti-biotics and then oral steroids that finally cleared it up.

Call. Wheezing needs to be documented. Our ped said the other day if a child is wheezing to the point where you can hear it, it means they've been wheezing for quite some time. They would definitely benefit from treatment. Also, it's one of the biggest indicators of childhood asthma. Now, other things CAN cause wheezing, a nasty cold, or whatever, but if this becomes a trend, in order to get the best long term treatment, DD really should be seen.

Yes We did. And you all were right. The Ped had given some tablets to break down the accumulated phelgm.
And also some albuletoral for inhaling through a compressor. She is on it now.

As usual you all have been great help. Thanks to you all.
