We are dreadfully going to outgrow the wonderfully blessed snap-n-go in the next couple of months, and I am wondering what you all have for twin strollers and what is the best in your opinions? We need light weight and compact, along with ease of use, and durability.

Please help...and let me know if their is one type that you absolutley will never buy again.

    Thanks,
    Steph

Everyone's told me the Valco runabout or the Peg Perego Aria Twin. :)

I LOVE my combi twin - I highly recommend it!
The only downside is not much storage space underneath.
Small, light, easy to push, FITS THROUGH DOORWAYS, side by side is great!

Didn't like the Combi, now have a MacLaren Twin Rally for travelling / car and a Mountain Buggy Urban Double (similar to Valco / Bob) for walks.

All I can say is side by side, they are sooo much easier IMO opinion and they last longer (from my experience!) I love my cheap-o jeep side by side, it was only $70, its an "umbrella stroller, no storage, but it is compact, easy to steer, and folds up nicely... :)

We love our Maclaren Twin Techno. It goes through doors, over bumps in the sidewalk, and is pretty easy to handle with a cup of coffee in one hand. Folds up and fits under our dining room table :)

It wasn't cheap, but it means that we will get outside a couple of times a week when it isn't crazy hot.

I have the Graco Duoglider (tandem) and I don't recommend it. I wish I'd just gotten a Snap and Go and then a side-by-side later.

I totally agree!! I have a front/back and the one in the back always cries and kicks the one in the front! My jogger is great, but doesn't fit through any doorways...The side by sides are the best!

The Valco twin. I love everything about it. It fits through a normal doorway and has the rubber tires that allow it to go everywhere (we've taken it on trails, on the beach, city walks...). It's an investment for sure, but we're sticking with this one for years.

I have an older Maclaren side by side that someone handed down to me and it's GREAT. I think it's about 3 years old and it's still in primo condition, so durability is definitely there. Mine are the 3rd set of twins to use it! I would LOVE to be able to get a new one but since it's not in the budget I can certainly make do with this one!
BTW, I have a new Kolcraft sbs umbrella and at 3 years old the Maclaren STILL kicks the Kolcraft's butt. It's kind of like driving a 15 year old Mercedes

Side by Side is so great IMO, as you can get to both of them at the same time or at least that's what they think; b/c they can both see you at the same time. We have a Bob Duallie Revolution as I love to walk and get out, we also have the snap-and-go for quick trips to the store.

We have the Snap and Go and the Graco Duoglider. Right now we mostly use the Snap and go, but my son is already over 18 lbs ... so I'm sure we will be saying goodbye to the carseats that snap into the snap and go soon ... I actually like the duoglider. But my kids are young, so they don't seems to be bothered by being in front of each other or anything like that ...

We have the Graco Duoglider and I love it also. It stears great , sets up & collapses easily and doesn't weigh a ton in my opinion. Plus the cost wasn't that bad. I think a lot of the other strollers above cost a lot. I would also like a double umbrella stroller, but I would still use my Duoglider for trips to the store. I can barely get the tandem stoller through eisles, I can't imagine how hard a side by side would be.

Love my Valco - it wasn't the least expensice, but the quality is excellent. Pushing it is a dream - seriously - so easy to push along! I still use the Snap N Go, as the Valco (as will be ANY twin stroller) is definitely a little cumbersome to fold up and haul around...but of all that I tested, this one was my favorite. People stop me all the time and ask where I got it - so it is stylish, too! ;)

We have two Bugaboos. JUST KIDDING!!! :p

I didn't mind the duoglider tooo much when they were in their infant carriers, but I do think it is much bulkier and heavier than my side-by-side. I drive a pretty small car (Honda Accord) and I have to snap the stupid snack trays and sunguard off of the duoglider every time it goes in my trunk, so it is a pain.

I looked at the McLaren twin rally or whatever it is called and went with a slightly cheaper (on sale) side by side by Inglesina (Italian brand, got great reviews in my baby bargains book). I prefer the side-by-side, it is lighter, folds down smaller, and is easier to maneuver. Most side-by-sides are made no wider than a wheelchair, and because of the Americans with Disabilities act, all public buildings have to have doors wide enough to accommodate them. I have not found getting into and out of stores to be a problem as a result. Narrow aisles in stores is another matter...

I kind of wish I had gotten the McLaren or the Jeep version: my Inglesina has an annoying canopy that constantly snaps off, and it is very hard to get up and down stairs because the brakes get caught on the steps. Still prefer it to the duoglider, though.

I have the Peg Perego Duette and I love it. It is a back and front stroller, but it is so easy to steer. The wheels are big, so it easily goes over any cracks in the side walk or throught the grass. Also, the steering wheel makes it really easy to use one hand and the basket on the bottom is large enough that I can take the twins to the grocery store and through a good supply of stuff in it.

The stroller was a lot of money, but worth every penny.
