I went to my Ob today and he has always said 37 weeks is full term for twins so I have been on count down with 2 weeks to go, they are head down and ready to fire, and I am starting to feel like I might not be pregnant forever. Then he hit me with it today when I asked about scheduling my induction "37 weeks is full term for twins, but we give them until 38 weeks I will not schedule an induction before than." I felt like I had been hit with the worst news of my life LOL I just got in the car and cried. I want them to be as healthy and cook as long as possible don't get me wrong , but that extra week might as well have been a life sentence. Anyone else feel like it will never be over? I mean I know it has to be but it just seems unreal that it will end hmmmm I feel bad for feeling this way, but weeks are starting to feel like months........ :umm:

 Yes, that is how I felt at the end of my pregnancy too. It's hard and I know it feels like forever and a day, but it will happen. And when you are holding your little babies, you'll {almost ;)} forget about all of this.

I guess Im doing this right? Girl you have made it this far you'll be fine! I sometimes miss the feeling of being prego as every one called me at work. I ve got 4 kids and if i could have a week or 2 to feel that way it would be cool. Look at it that way, how long will it be before have another baby or 2 inside you good luck hand in there!!

Those last few days or weeks seem SO looooooooooooooong....but try to relax & enjoy yourself as much as possible.
Time seems to move in fast forward since my babies arrived :) I would love to slow things down a bit!
    Hang in there!!

I TOTALLY understand. I'm 37 weeks also and my dr. won't induce until 39 weeks. I seriously can't imagine making it another 2 weeks. The time certainly is dragging, but like you I know it's best for them....and it's probably not going to get any easier!:)

    Good luck with your delivery!!

My doctor wasnt going to do the c-section until 39 weeks with the twins I kept begging him to please bring it forward lucky for me I went into labour at 37 weeks and they didnt have a choice. So I hope nature takes over for you too. Good luck!

Even though your doctor won't induce until 38 weeks, I'm betting the statistics of you going in to labour on your own are higher than the likelihood of making it to 38 weeks. There are a lot of 36 and 37 weekers on this board - there's still a good chance you'll be one too. My babies came a week before my scheduled induction.

I hope your last few weeks of this pregnancy fly by! I was so glad when my doctor told me yesterday that he will routinely induce/schedule c/s for 37 weeks. I'm only 14 weeks now, but I'm sure I'll be ready by then! GL!

I hear ya! OMGosh! I am soooo DONE! My mom keeps telling me that there will come a point where you just can't take it anymore and you're ready to rip them right out of you. Then they won't come for another 48 hours. I've been feeling like that for the last few weeks! I think the boys are done too. I swear I felt baby B trying to chew his way out. I've gone beyond "I can't take much more of this," to "I can't take this anymore!" and yet, I'm still hardly having any contractions!!!! Yes, a week seems years! But hang in there, they say it's all worth it.

I am always the exception to the rule. :) My dr. schedule me for induction at 37w0d. I begged to hold out another week. Why can't I wait just one more week? The end of my pregnancy went by so fast (while I was going through it, and in hindsight, too.) And once they were here I can't tell you how many days I looked at them and thought how wonderful it would be to be able to put them back in a little while. Enjoy the time you have, it will be gone before you know it. And once they get here your life will never be the same again.

My dr said she won't let me go past the 13th which is 38 wks. But it's also a saturday.... she said we'd schedule a c-sec/inducement. I hope she lets me go on like say the 12th rather than waiting until the next week :p I think while I'm at my apt tomorrow I'll see if I can't talk her into letting me have them right then and there. I mean, I'm there, she's there, sounds like great timing to me!

I know exactly how you feel. As soon as I hit 36 weeks, I started talking to my belly and saying "you know, you can come out now if you want." They didn't listen. At the end, every day seemed like torture. I hated going to bed at night b/c sleeping was so uncomfortable. But I survived and my babies were super-healthy. It all seems like such a long time ago now. Hang in there. Just focus on each day as it comes.

Yes!! I know exactly how you feel! I'm 36 weeks and I feel like I have been preggo forever! I had wanted to schedule my C-Section for next week, but the doc. said the same thing..She said that it's due to the babies lung maturity. They want to make sure they are ready.. So hang in there we'll be there before we know it!! :D

Okay this may sound silly, but I am 8 1/2 weeks and am waiting for my belly to pop! So does this mean the joy of the belly lasts only so long and soon I will be saying...let's go babies, time to come out!
