We recently have started eating dinner as a family now that my DH is getting home a tad earlier. So whatever I make for DH and myself, the kids eat as well. My kids were fairly picky eaters before we started doing this. But now they will eat an array of foods and it makes mealtime an incredible enjoyable time.

    Some of their faves:

*Taco meat, shredded cheese, avocado, and olives
    *Chili
    *Chicken stir fry and broccoli
    *Fried rice
    *Teriyaki chicken
    *Spaghetti
    *Quesadillas

They also love anything that they can dip into. So we serve a lot of chicken along with gravy, ketchup, teriyaki sauce, etc.

WE too eat dinner as a family and they love:
    spaghetti
    chicken and rice
    soup
    quesadillas
    and dipping veggies into ranch.

Today we met my mom at Applebees during her "lunch" hour and she had already ordered the girls both a corn dog and applesauce with a cup of milk. Yesterday, Ainsley had spaghetti while Sierra had quesadillas (while out to dinner with my aunt & uncle). Tomorrow we'll all have shrimp & rice.

My kiddos love ALL kinds of pasta with garlic bread.

    We also do....

baked chicken with mac n cheese, vege and fruit
tyson white meat chicken nuggets with tator tots, vege and fruit
hamburger helper with vege and fruit
barbecue chicken with baked beans, vege and fruit
pinto beans and cornbread with vege and fruit
fried skinless chicken with mashed potatoes, vege and fruit
homemade beef stew with bread and fruit
on a lazy night, I'll give them chicken noodle soup and pb&j sandwich and just to clarify, I heat the soup without adding extra water and then drain the liquid.

For dessert, they always get fruit with every meal. As a special treat after dinner, if they eat well, I also let them split a pudding cup, yogurt or a couple of graham crackers.

We don't eat as a family, so the kids do tend to eat kid stuff, unless I happen to have some leftovers that are appropriate for them. They eat:
    chicken nuggets
    fish sticks
    mini-quiche
rice and beans (they prefer it with tomatoes)
pasta, pref with a little red sauce

Many nights I just give them a hodgepodge of cheese, crackers, fruit, and veggies.

We're in a rut with dinner too (I was the one who started the breakfast thread), but I figure the answer there is just to force myself to make more stuff that all of us can eat.

Tonight for dinner I made what should have been a busy day crockpot chicken and rice... I made this last week and dh loved it. I like it but said it would have been better with potatos then rice.

So tonight we are having crock pot chicken with mashed potatos, stuffing, and sweet peas and the boys will eat this aswell... and seeing as how they dont eat baby food any other time of the day they get a fruit baby food just to get rid of it for dessert.

We do "eat what we eat" so they pretty much eat whatever we are eating, although we adjust some things for them. Some of their favorites are:

Hot dog and beans (not great, I know, but it's our there's nothing in the house dinner and they LOVE it)
Those quick-boil pastas (Burtolli?) Another big fave
Taco meat w/ cheese and beans, tomoatoes
    Hamburgers w/ various side veggies
    Daddy's homemade mac-n-cheese

Our girls are a little older and admittedly we didn't get on the "they eat what we eat" program until just exactly around the time they turned two, but...I highly recommend it, and starting ASAP...

Tonight it was bbq chicken and I gave them the thigh meat, plus corn and creamed spinach. Earlier they ate Applebee's grilled cheese and french fries... [IMG]

Lunches: Generally during the week the au pair feeds them and she isn't extremely adventurous with her culinary skills so it's grilled cheese, pb&j, egg/chicken/tuna salad, or scrambled eggs for the most part. With veggies (sometimes) and always fruit.

Dinner: Varies, but here's this coming week's planned menu (details unknown):

    Sunday - Roast Chicken

    Monday - Grilled chicken breasts

Tuesday - Swedish Turkey Meatballs with noodles

    Wednesday - Pork cutlets

    Thursday - Beef stew

Friday - Fish with dill butter

Saturday - Sausage, peppers and pasta

Mostly they eat what we eat. This week, we're planning:

Sun: spinach & sausage lasagna, zucchini, french bread
    Mon: leftover lasagna
    Tues: baked chicken, broccoli, cornbread
Wednesday: leftover chicken in sauce, barley, mixed veggies
Thursday: tacos, refried beans, spicy rice
    Friday: fish TBD, rice, coleslaw
