What would you do if after you put your twins for a nap , you walk in the room and smells like poop-oops my DS pooped and he is asleep. Should I let him sleep with poopy diaper or risk it by changing hoping that he will go to sleep after.

I would try and change him in his crib and hope he didn't wake up. I'd hate for him to wake up from his nap with a rash.

I let them sleep. Rashes suck but no nap is worse, lol.

I'd let him sleep. I'm sure he'll be fine. If it was at bedtime, then I'd change him.

If it's a nap then I let them sleep... If it's bedtime I wake them. Either way.. I hate when that happens!!

I agree with Brigette, if it's nap I let them sleep and bedtime, I would wake them. I wish my kids would sleep through poos during naps but just 45 minutes ago DD woke up crying because she pooed. When they wake up because of it, I do change them and put them back down for a nap.

I agree with this... if it wakes them, I change it. If not, I don't. At bedtime, I would change them but they don't really poop at bedtime anymore.

I agree with everybody else--naps: no waking, but bed time, yes. We've been in that situation a lot; my boys absolutely love to poop before naps and bed time.

If I put mine down for a nap and they have poopy - they will Not sleep. Instead, they'll just cry [but they never cry when they have a poopy diaper - they just prefer not to sleep with one [IMG] ]

Anyway.. I've gotten in the habit of checking for poop before I put them down Every time.

But I agree with PP's, I'd let him sleep [IMG]

If it was Alice, I'd wake her up and change her because she gets vicious rashes. Royce, I'd let him sleep in it.

I let them sleep regardless of when it happens. Mine wake up poopy from naptime and bedtime on a daily basis. They rarely have rashes but do sometimes wake up with some spillage onto the sheets. It's worth the sleep IMO.
