    Hi!

Ok, I did TONS of research before my boys were born for what we would need for the first few months (high chairs, swings, bouncies etc...)

I'm at a loss now that I have to start planning on what would be helpful for the next 9mths or so...

One thing I know we'll need is a gate for our fireplace, and maybe a toy box, water gear, jogger stroller...

What are some things that were invaluable to you for months 3-12 (toys/equipment etc...)?

    Thanks!

BOOKS! And a receptacle that holds the books but that the babies can still get into. I use a small basket that was given to me as a shower gift and used to have baby bath products in it. My girls would crawl over to the basket, dump it out, and bring me books to read and read to each other. This is still a routine that goes on every day now at 15 months old. At 3 months old of course they aren't going to get into the books by themselves, but it won't be long.

Also my girls use their activity table a lot and have used it since they were 6 months or so.

at 9 months we still use the swings every day. The bumbo was a bust - glad I bought it at a resale.
we have 2 exersaucers - also use those most days. we have tons of toys - right now they are into blocks and balls.

I would say books, stuffed animals, little toys, exersaucer, jumparoo. If your kids will be anything like mine, they will probably like to play with water bottles and remotes, so if you have old remotes you don't use around the house, take the batteries out and save them for the kiddos. Eventually they will be into everything and you will be surprised what they like to get into. It's also never too soon to start babyproofing the house!

Jumperoo, exersaucer, gates, board or cloth books, teethers, rattles, soft toys, and push toys (from closer to 1 though).
