What week did you start to dilate?

I was put on modified bedrest at 29 weeks due to having a lot of braxton hicks and occaisional contractions, passing a small amount of protein and being absolutly exhausted after work with lots of contractions. I wasn't dilated though, just "closed, long and getting softer."

Yesterday I had an appointment with OB at 30.4 weeks and I'm now "long, very soft and a fingertip dilated." I've been having a lot of pelvic pressure this past week, so he did a fFn test and thankfullly it was negative. Also did a quick portable US to see if maybe one of the girls was right on my cervix and if that could be the reason why I'm having so much pressure, but both are still breech.

He says since my fFn test was negative to just continue modified bedrest and that the pressure could be from someone kicking me or just my pelvis area continuing to get pulled on just due to the twin pregnancy.

I was just wondering if any of you girls are starting to dilate and if so, are you on bedrest and what week are you?

2 weeks ago (34ish weeks) I was 1 cm dialated, but high-tight-closed-etc. Ffn was negative and I'm not on any kind of bedrest....every night in my dreams, I see them say, no no no stay home, but that hasn't happened! I'm still working full time and modifying life myself....ughhh! ;) I'll be 36 weeks on Wednesday....

I'm not sure when exactly I started to dilate, but found out at routine appt. at 24w, that I was 2cm dilated. I was put on bedrest after that, as well as had an emergency cerclage (I also found out at that appt. that my cervix had shortened).

I don't know with my twins, but I know I was dilated to 3+ cm for over a month before my oldest two single babies were born. Modified bedrest seems like a good idea (I did that for 9 weeks for PTL w/ my girlies, then had to be induced because it never progressed to full blown labor), but especially w/ the negative FFN, I wouldn't worry too much.

I started dilating and effacing at 29weeks. I went on bedrest from 29-34 weeks then I was let off.
At 37 weeks when my doctor induced me I was 100% effaced and dilated to 5! Some women (like me) apparently can go a VERY long time dilated and still hold those babies in.
I also had a head that was at 0 station for weeks and weeks everytim they checked me they could touch his head :)

I started to dilate at 31 weeks. I was not on bedrest, but was taken off work and everything slowed WAY down for me. Just me being home is what was needed. At 34 weeks I started contracting and that continued until I delivered.

    Good Luck,
    Jenn

I started to dilate around 31 weeks, only a fingertip, and stayed that way until delivery at 37 weeks. I was already on bedrest for PTL, shortening/funneling cervix.

I started to dilate when I was 26 1/2 weeks. I was a fingertip at that time. So I was put on strict bedrest. Then at 27 1/2 weeks, I was a full cm dilated. So in addition to bedrest, I also started terbutaline every 4 hours around the clock. And for several more weeks, it seems like I either dilated or effaced a little bit more. Then all of a sudden, my cervix stopped changing (thank God!!), and I actually made it to full term.

Fingertip with 31 weeks, but still long, so no issues (they already weighed 9lbs combined at 30 weeks). I was 2 cm at 32 and 33 weeks, 3 cm at 34 and 35 weeks, 4 cm at 36 and 37 weeks and 4 1/2 cm at 38 weeks and when I was induced. Was never put on bedrest.
