What type of thermometer do you use? I was going to get an ear one but when I talked to some of my friends they advised me against it and said they didn't work very well for babies and I would be better off using a rectal one. Just curious what everyone else does.

I got one of the ear ones too, but have read that the rectal thermometers are more accurate.

I use this one, it's a temporal thermometer and it's the exact one our peds office uses. And they told me I could get it at Walmart, I love it!

I read that ear thermometers are not accurate at all, and just to use a rectal.

I use a temporal thermometer. Works great and you can get them almost anyplace now.

I have an ear one, or I just use a regular digital therm. under the arm and know that the temp is actually a bit higher than the reading.
