What types of sippy cups do your younger toddlers like? My girls are 13 months and so far the only sippy cup they seem to "get" is the Born Free trainer. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

We used the Nuby with the soft spout for a couple of months. My girls did very well with those during the transition time. They are occasionally a bit drippy, but it was worth it. After about a month on those, I started introducing the regular sippies occasionally until they got the hang of them.

i have tried other sippy cups and all have failed except the nuby with the soft spout. they drink out of those so those are what they will use for now.

We loved anything with a straw. They are a PITA to clean but they were great. My aunt is a speech therapist and told us that the straws are great for building strength for verbal skills. I guess the sucking motion builds muscle strength. Now the kids use anything we give them but when they first learned to use a sippy cup, we loved the straw ones.

We've used a couple different Nubys - the "sports bottle" and the regular ones, and the boys really liked them a lot. Recently we went back to some Avent bottles - they have a little kit that turns an avent bottle into a sippy cup - and they've been much more willing to drink out of those now, so that's what we're using this week...

the playtex sipsters. They're BPA free, and they don't leak. We first used the nuby soft spouts, but they were SO easy to use, that the boys made big messes.

We have kleen kanteens with the avent spout. Only one kid got it. The other uses a sport top. I wish we had only used the sport top and just skipped the spout.

Nuby straw sippies. We've been using them for about a year. Wow, time flies.

For water and juice, straw sippy cups. Milk they use the Nuby or Gerber sippy with the seperate valve to clean. I find the Nuby with the "built in" valve can leak and the Gerber even though you have more "parts" to clean prevents leaks better.

Mine didn't grasp the concept of sippies until they were 13 months, but I had to use those straw ones for them. They didn't understand that they had to tip the cup (of other sippies) up to drink out of the spout ones...so for a good month or two, they used those straw ones until they got hte handle of tipping the sippy

We started with the nuby cubs and then transitioned to the Gerber fun grips cups. I have used them with DS1 and use them with B&E now. They have worked great for us.
