What type of humidifier do you use?

I purchased a cool mist humidifier, to help with congestion, but it seems to make thier room cooler than the rest of the house. We hate it when we check on them or feed them in the middle of the night and thier little hands are ice cold. And we typically keep the house pretty warm, 72 or so.

    What are your thoughts/suggestions.

We use a humidifier also. My little ones hand are also cool in the morning. However there colds are better so it was worth the cool hands.

You could try to leave the door open maybe so it doesn't get too cold?

I think ours is a cool mist too, it's in the shape of a frog. Could you try keeping your house a little bit warmer? We keep ours on 74 at night, but I think my house is drafty since we don't have carpet I think that makes it seem colder.

We use one called Gemguard I think, I got it from Babies'r Us... It's a small one so I haven't noticed any temperature difference, but we keep the door open anyway.

That being said, it's better for babies to sleep in a cooler room... I think 68-69 is what is recommended.

We use the cool mist too. It does make their room a bit cooler. I just put warmer pj's on than I normally would.

We use a cool mist humidifier and it does make their room temps a little cooler but not by too much. I would agree with what pp's said: try leaving the door open or trying warmer pj's and seeing if that helps. Good luck!

Thier room stays warmer when we shut the door, but I will try warmer pj's and see how it works. Thanks ladies!
