When my girls first came home I used Avent bottles, but not only did they LEAK all over the place but one of my daughters wouldn't even take to it. So then I switched to Dr. Browns and have had great success ever since. Just curious what everyone else is using...

Dr. Brown's with the twins, Playtex Drop-ins with my other 3! The Playtex bottles were much easier to clean, but I loved the Dr. Brown's with the twins because the #3 nipple worked perfectly with the added cereal!

We started with Dr. Browns and loved them until I read the reports about bisphenol-A, a hormone disrupting chemical that is found in hard plastics used in baby bottles (and banned in food grade plastic made for adults!). I found a great website that listed the "safer" bottles, http://zrecs.blogspot.com/2007/11/z-report...ottles-and.html and decided to switch to Gerber. They're cheap, easy to clean, and fit the Dr. Browns insert parts and nipples, so the transition was easy.

We used Avent.......it was a love hate relationship. The worst thing was that they leaked real bad. Found that you had to wet the nipple before screwing the top on. They were also real expensive.

Playtex drop-ins. I don't have to worry about the germs that I can't reach on the inside of a regular bottle.

Loved the drop ins. I liked not having to wash them each time but instead just rinsing them.

drop ins here too! Used Avent for the first few months with DD because the Playtex nipples were too soft (tongue thrust reflex on the bottle)...once she outgrew that we used just drop ins for both

I switched to Gerber for the same reason (after reading recs here) but am finding they leak massive quantities and soak my babies. Do you have this problem? Any solution? Thanks!

After 2.5 months old, I used Podees. They were just wonderful because I could hold both babies at feeding time. There was no propping them in boppies or bouncers or alternating who got held. The Podees were also great for the car, stroller, and restaurants. I loved those bottles!

We started with Avent and HATED them!!!! They leaked, babies struggled, it was a nightmare. Then, we switched to Dr. Browns. Loved them but read about the issues with heating plastic bottles. Now, we use glass Evenflo's and are very happy with them.

We use Avent bottles here. I read about people complaining about leaks before purchasing. I got a three pack and went to their website. On the FAQs section they talk about what to do if your bottles are leaking. They explain how to screw the top on and I have followed that and had no leaks ever. My beebs are almost 6 months and we are quite happy with our Avent bottles. I suggest anyone with leaking Avent bottles to check their website because it is an easy fix.

For those who use drop-ins: how do you tell how much is in their/how much your babies ate? I bought 2 4 oz. ones to try, but can't really tell--the markings are hard to read, marked in large increments. And what the liner says doesn't match what the holder says.

Dr. Browns...made a huge difference in Carlie's gas issue! Just don't like all the parts.\

I was wondering that too. I use Dr. Brown's but I am so tired of cleaning all the parts. I want to switch to drop-ins but I can't figure out the measurements.

First Avent but lastweek to Tommee Tippee's cClose to Nature. Nazier wasn't taking to the Avent well as he prefers BF and a friend from multiple birth club. The teats are shaped like boobs and my boys just loved it. check it out:

    http://www.tommeetippee.co.uk/product/clos...low_flow_teats/

    -leakage less than Avent
-boys make less mess as their latch is similar to BF

Drop ins. They're easy to clean and I can pump directly into them. The measurements on the nurser aren't exact (depends on how crinkled the drop in is) so if I do use formula instead of EBM, I have ready made 2oz containers of boiled water, pour it into the drop in, add 1 scoop of formula, put on the nipple/cap and shake.

I use Dr. Browns. There are so many parts, I've never tried any other kind of bottle.

ETA: I would love to try a bottle that didn't have so many parts!

We use Advent bottles, my mom also bought me some evenflo but they leaked so much. We have not had any problems with the Advent bottles leak and it is so easy to clean. With my two older kids I used the Playtex vent air, but when I went to buy bottles for the Twins I wanted something that was not made in China. Advent bottles are made in England so that is what we went with.

I posted that we were using Dr. Brown's, but I got so tired of washing all the parts. I wanted to use drop-ins, but my babies would not take to the Playtex nipples. They were too soft, and either too slow or too fast. So I bought the new Avent drop-ins, and we LOVE them! The babies like the nipple and the markings are easy to read. They are expensive, but definitely worth it!

Gerber clearview here. We started with Playtex Drop Ins, then went to Avent because I hated using the liners and my girls got weird about the flow (nb holes weren't big enough but the next stage they choked on) but the Avent leaked and then ended up on "the list" that went around not too long ago. The girls never really liked the Avent all that much anyway. We tried the Gerber because they were cheap and not on the plastics list and the girls took to them really well.

I use a measuring cup and measure my water then pour in the drop in. My girls do very good with the DR Browns but for going out on errrands or traveling we usr the drop ins they are very easy to use. My girls latch on both very good

I just found out about the BPA in Dr. Brown's bottles (which I love!) and sent my husband out to buy the Gerber Clear View which are supposedly BPA free. I read on this site that many people use the Dr. Brown's parts in the Gerber bottles. How? The 8oz. Dr. Brown's large vent and tube are too long for the 8 oz. Gerber bottle and if we use the 4oz. vent and tube in the 8 oz. Gerber bottle, we can only put 4 oz. of milk..... how are others doing this system? Help!!

We tried everything in the store before buying the little bottles and we ended up with the NUK ones. After all our experimentation this was the only one they would both eat out of in a reasonable amount of time without making a huge mess. Kind of nice too that they come in two boy colors so Logan gets the blue ones and Mason gets the green ones. That has been great for when they are taking different amounts or using different stage nipples.

We just went back through them all to see about buying big bottles and these were still by far the ones they did the best with. I'm going to stretch using the little ones a bit longer and try the others again though before buying a ton of the big ones.

I switched from Dr. Brown's to Evenflo glass bottles (three-packs sold at ToysRus, not too expensive. I ordered a bunch online too). We LOVE them. They drop them from their high chairs all the time and not a single one has ever broken. I put them in the dishwasher. Most nipples will fit them (I didn't like the brown latex ones that come with them, so I just put in silicone evenflos.

We started with Avent but they leaked so much we gave them to my SIL to use. I switched to Dr. Brown's but hated all the pieces to clean and they leaked while on the go. Finally I just bought cheap bottles, Evenflo, Gerber and Parent's Choice (Wal-Mart) and had no trouble with any of those.

Used Dr. Browns until the boys were about 6 months old. Once they showed interest in holding their bottles switched to the Gerber comforthold. Really love them. Liked the Dr. Browns but got tired of the parts. No extra parts for the comforthold and it has a pretty good suction to prevent air/gas. Love them!!!!

We use Playtex drop ins... I love them, not alot of heavy washing and mine were on the slow flow nipple until 9 months old and did great. ;) I decided to switch and see if they could eat faster and they could so we switched them all out. I have to say i simply chose these because i always wanted to use them and they have worked great for us. Beau takes the brown nipple abd Savannah likes the clear ones. The clear ones seem harder than the brown ones. I also like Target and Parents choice liners better than playtex ones... I have nothing but good things to say about them and as far as measuring i mix formula in a big pitcher so really this has never been an issue. I have never mixed one bottle at a time becuase i think it adds alot of air to them. I got so use to the measuring part that now it is old hat to me.
