i was googling.. well asking jeeves this time  what all the weight we gain is made up of.. this is what i found..

For a woman who is pregnant with twins, the weight gain is probably made up of:
    - Three to four pounds of blood.
    - Two pounds in your breasts.
    - Two pounds in the uterus itself.
    - Two to four pounds of amniotic fluid.
    - Four or five pounds of retained water.
    - Two to three pounds of placenta.
    - Seven to ten pounds of fats, proteins, and other important nutrients.
    - Ten to fourteen pounds of baby.

hmmm.. ive gained 48lbs (36 weeks).. so if that is said to be true.. ill only have 6-16 pounds to lose, give or take? seems unrealistic.. lol

Well, I don't know. I went from 165lbs to 218lbs by 31w5d when I gave birth, and I weighted 175 within a week of their birth. Could be true. And I only had 8lbs3oz of babies in there.

I read that somewhere too, that was definitely not the case for me though. I had a 3lb4oz and 3lb8oz of baby, and ended up losing just 20 pounds of baby weight after 2 weeks. The rest came off the hard way (exercise/diet).

When I started out my pregnancy I weighed between 120-125 pounds. On the day of my scheduled c-section I was probably 180-185 (I think I packed on a little extra in the FAT department). When I came home from the hospital, I had only lost 7 pounds (that's right 7 pounds). My babies weighed about 12 pounds in total, so how is that possible you say! Anyway now 4.5 months later I am down to 145. Still 20 pounds of fat to lose. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would have been a little more dilligent about watching my caloric intake.
